Nothing to dislike. Interior is typical VW quality. It's just fun to drive! Great acceleration! Takes some getting used to the turbo kick. Handles very well. Corners like it's on rails. Shifting is smooth and allows power to flow without hesitation. Plenty of cargo space, especially when rear seats are folded down.Feb 05, 2013

This is a new car to me and as it is my first FWD car I am very much trying to get used to it, I think it has potential but it also scares me to push it hard. I'm expecting that this coming summers Street X season should help get me a little more comfortable with a high hp ff layout handling wise. In a straight line the car is great, plenty of pull, the 6 sp is one of the best shifting transmissions I have ever used.
After participating in 2 street-x events so far this season I would say I am more comfortable with this car. first event I took 2nd place in my class (street touring fwd) and second event I took first place. it does have a tendency to understeer if the tires are cold and under heavy braking. however once the tires are warm it grips well even lifting the rear inner tire through turns causing a mild oversteer. The upgraded brakes are amazing. I am happier with this car than I first thought I would be but in my overall oppinion it still dosn't touch on RWD or AWD in terms of what I am used to.
After my 3rd and last auto-x for the 2013 season I am no longer fighting the car, driver modification was what was needed. I will be keeping this car for a long time to come with plenty more power and performance mods to come.Dec 16, 2012

handle it with care ,, it will definitely take care of you . First time I own a GTI with
this one and its definitley not the last GTI in my sights. GTI 35 edition next. Gas
consumption depends on your diving style , but its good. Not costly to own but the
front suspension is weak man , ball joints,shocks have a short lifespan.Jul 25, 2012

bad sterring response, need better suspension, tires and alignement, everything
else is hot! powerful when chipped, hard metal, good places for the speakers.
dealer parts are not so expensive, fun to drive, no rattle, little road noise. great

Excellent performance with 197BHP remap and 50+mpg.
Good Build quality as you would expect from a VW
Looks good with the standard anniversary bodykit, BBS Alloys and unique
recaro interior and aluminium trim.
Cheap to run with good performance and very low depreciation due to the
anniversary being limited to 1800, 900 petrol and 900 diesel broken down to

Snappy, torquey acceleration. Good braking, responsive handling.
Has needed repair from time to time, to be expected with VW with high miles.
Interior/exterior style is perfect for me. I love how it looks from every angle.
Cost of ownership is not bad at all. Gas mileage is good if you drive nicely, still not horrible when driven aggressively. Repairs can add up.

Allons ont ce dit la vérité... 1.8T chippé,exhaust et suspension, sans compter les magnifiques Dunlop direzza star spec. Ça arrache les permis de conduite en clignant des yeux. Mais c'est pièces rende la route moin agréable sur de longues distances. et la reprogrammation rend le système d'injection sensible au '' Check engine''. Extremely fun car to drive. It has easy handling and is very good on gas. Ony down side to the car is it uses premium gas due to the turbo but its worth it. These cars are very customizable and fun for all people.Oct 20, 2010

Has nice acceleration with the turbo, running
at stock PSI it isn't beasty fast though.
Volkswagen is kind of notorious for bad
headliners etc, so as long as you replace
those when necessary it's a nice car. Sporty
cloth two tone interior. Good gas milage if
you don't abuse the turbo ( high rpm's).

Performance, I like it has turbo, and a great factory suspension!
build quality, Vw does a good job with that
personally like the way it looks other don't but they don't have to drive it
Get about 24-28 miles to the gallon with 93 octane

i love my car, lol. the only thing i hate is the little things. for example, i cant just
replace the one control arm bushing i have to replace the whole control arm. the
first thing you wanna do is delete the pvc system and secondary air pump, get a

Great car so much fun to drive, haven't had any problems yet with it. Looks great on outside, nice leather interior. good sound system, very roomy for a 2 door hatch. Gas mileage depends on how you drive. Engine sounds great to. Jun 20, 2010

This car is my baby. I love it. I has a great balance of performance and comfort without costing me tons of money. The car is very responsive. It handles great, smooth gear box and it is very quick. I would recommend this car to anyone who is looking for their first sports car.Apr 20, 2010

The car is a 2.8 liter narrow angle V6. It is lacking in
horsepower but has nice torque range and is fairly
peppy. I've done quite a bit of modification to make it

Solid little car. Great performance and handling with the added bonus of a back seat and hatch storage. 337's come with some cool factory upgrades such as a lowered sport suspension, 6 speed manual gearbox, larger brakes, 18" BBS RC wheels, unique body kit, and a Recaro interior. Overall a great ride with good gas mileage. Perfect for the enthusiast with a need for a practical and fun car.

Great acceleration, great braking, handling is crisp. I love the leather seats. The performance is great with the 1.8 Turbo charged motor, and the cost was not bad just at 10k. Its a really fun car. You should check them out.Oct 17, 2009

I am a person who came from the normal car, ya know, the guy in the old yukon on his way to work. My best friend has a brand new Civic Si, and I drive it regularly. I wanted to buy a car that would compete, and I have to say, its the best car ive ever owned, and I'll never buy anything but a Volkswagen again. my 2002 will out-accelerate his 2009 Civic Si, it will out-maneuver it, and its better in braking. true, the Civic feels like you're driving a spaceship, but I hate the harsh ride and crude suspension and seats. the build quality is great. no squeaks, no rattles, no cheap pieces falling off, VW even thought out the feeling of the key. The exterior looks simple, and mean at the same time. I gladly set it in front of my house without worrying about baddies bashing it with bats & such. what I mean is, its not brash enough where people will hate you for owning one. The gas milage is actually very good out of a car that can move like this. Its like an athelete who always seems to not be thirsty til the whole thing is over. But honestly, I am a huge car guy, and there are very few vehicles I've driven that are this much fun. the Corvette Z06 is one of them. Aug 21, 2009

This VW GTI is the best car that has ever been in my Family. We use it every day and it has lots of miles on it, but it never had any problems. It is quick on start and the best city CRUZER i ever used. It is joy for everyone and the little things that are missing, like a high speed or a good soundsystem are able to buy seperate and put in after own. It is a joy car for every age and kind.

You probably won't understand a VW unless you've actually owned one. The commercials that say "Once you get into a Volkswagen, it gets into you" are spot on. If you've ever owned a modern-day VW, you may understand that.
One of the best things about VWs is the way they feel. You get in, and its like everything is right where it's supposed to be, there isn't anything loose, nothing out of place, and everything works together perfectly. That's the best way I know how to describe it.
One of the worst things about VWs is that they are a different animal when it comes to working on them. I personally love working on mine, but most mechanics (automotive technicians) won't touch them.Jun 07, 2008

this car is sweet as hell, the 6 speed manual and that turbo kick ass, suspention and the 18" BBS wheels makes lots diff in the drive, as long u keep RPM around 3.1-3.3K u can burn rubber even in the 3rd gear, i toped 135 mph and it was solid, did corner at speeds around 75 mph and the car was solid , dounts were funn to do with this carJan 02, 2008
