I like everything about this car and have been driving it for fourteen years. I bought this car new in 2001. The body could use some refreshening. I also like the shifter that you can use as an automatic or manually shift it for more rpm...zoom! It is a petite girls car to drive.May 16, 2015

the car i own i got from a old man the car is amazing on gas and is quick for a 4cy, and looks great it has alot of aftermarket parts for it. but im sad that the it is a 4cy and not the 6cy.Aug 13, 2014

I couldn't ask for anything better for the cost of the vehicle, little maintenance, decent power, great handling, awesome to drive, stock everything w/ a little self-adjusting and got 146 MPH out of it with 97,000 miles on the carJun 02, 2013

I bought a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse, and its now name is "Sunshine".. When i bought it from this guy, he had spray painted the bumper and the air filter... Dont ask me?? I bought it off him for $5,500 and I fixed it up, its yellow, it hit 0-60 in 7 seconds, the top speed is 139mph, HP 235 And the weight is 3031 lbs.. i love this car, i spent 2-3g's to put in it!!!Oct 07, 2010

Handles like a dream... Great for drifting, good for manuevering thouhg traffic... gotta have the manual version. alright on gas. not bad on maintainance... $30 for a full tank of premium gas. fun car overall. looks really sporty out and in.Jun 12, 2010

I like the car, really I do. Looks nice, but could use some more maintenance. If I had more money I'd replace the body kit, spoiler, tires, ride height, etc. Love driving it though, fast and picks up fast. A super charger sounds good, but with no money it's going to sit where it is.Jun 04, 2010

Acceleration was pretty good for a four, handling was awesome, and braking was ok until the brakes went which happened very quickly. I had a lot of problems with the entire emisions system, I could not keep the check engine light off for anything, first it was an O2 sensor then a fuel neck, then a fuel cap, and so on and so on. I loved the apperance of the car and except for a couple of spots around the trunk it was pretty resistant to rust.Apr 09, 2010

Performance- considering it is a V6 and just a 3 liter the performance is a 7 out of 10 in my book, i was expecting a bit more in this department. The build of the car is pretty solid as far as maintenance goes the only real problems i have found with the car ( that seems to be a recurring problem with the lot of them) is the dash boards tend to crack from the sun and the truck is more then definitely not sub-woofer friendly alot is needed to make it rattle proof. Appearance- Both out side and in the car is pretty sleek looking although i feel the paint quality on the outside should have been a bit better because it tends to fade. Cost- i bought mine for 6 grand, ever sence i have been nothing but happy with it. the gas mileage is surprisingly good Fun factor- This cars stiff suspension makes it very fun to drive and open up and the engine sounds like music to me. every time you hit the gas it seems to be asking for more. cup holder placement can make it hard to shift sometimes, It has great pick up, the brakes are excellent, it gets about 28 mpg going 90 on the highway, in town i get around 30mpg, it is a wonderful carOct 21, 2009

For the price and class of sport compact car it is in, it is a good deal. The car was quicker than most cars in its class, fun to drive and tops out at 152 mph. The looks of the car are very sleek. It also got pretty good gas mileage for a V6.Oct 21, 2009

Handles decent, makes good power, but extremely heavy for its size coming in just shy of 4k lbs. Also brake fade shows after only a few hard turns, though it does have 2 piston calipers in front. All is easily fixed with minimal mods which I'v nearly completed with my GT.Jan 07, 2009

test drove before a buddy of mine bought it, it was modified for performance and style, needs more performance, speeds up quickly but lacks the correlary torque feel with each rpm, car is fun to drive but i wouldnt buy it for its FWD, stickshift is a bit too high on consoleNov 17, 2008

Its a good car, does what I need it to, but the Damn Check Engine Light ALWAYS ON!!! had it checked a million times, and its a stupid sensor in my exhaust. But other than that, good car.....but i'm getting bored with it :) NEXT!!! haha! I love my cars!!Aug 02, 2008

The Eclipse is essentially a 2 door Galant. A sedan size and performance coupled with a sporty look makes for a great daily driver. The vehicle has undoubtedly been super reliable as I go into the 7th year of ownership with only one defect problem with the A/C compressor locking up shortly after I took delivery of it. I love this car! The interior has kept up VERY well! The exterior is in great shape as well and I've had it for four years! Handles great on the road hangs tight to the curves! It may be only a 4cyl. but it acts like it's a v6! I think everyone should have one! Mar 14, 2008
