The 3.2L S54 engine is fantastic , but had a recall for rod bearings. Without knowing if this engine had the warranty service, buying it is a bit risky. Feb 07, 2023

Great machine for driving on twisty roads! Also considered 2000S and boxer but decided on BMW design for my roadster. I own the s52(2000) as well as this s54. S54 is much harder to find. $$$$. Dec 28, 2021

The rarest of BMWs and the last of the great analog Ultimate Driving Machine. This the e46 M3 and e39 M5 get one while you can to experience a real drivers car. Sadly BMW has lost their way and is no longer the Ultimate Driving Machine. Feb 10, 2021
