2001 Audi S4 6MT Santorin Blue Pearl Effect w/ black Napa Leather.//Overall. This car was just understated beauty at its finest. Very quick, very sublime, very German. The classy exterior lines and the outstanding workmanship of the interior sold me immediately. //Performance. For inclement weather, you simply cannot go wrong with all wheel drive - and Audi has AWD performance nailed. The engine was strong enough, with little turbo lag and lots of torque down low. The only downside was there isn't really any reason to rev the engine beyond about 5500 RPM as the turbo runs out of steam by then. On long road-trips at highway speeds, this car really shines. Like most German cars, it gets more stable and responsive with triple-digit speeds. The brakes are quite good. The shifter was a bit notchy and clutch take-up tricky. I wouldn't want to drive this car in stop and go traffic.// Interior. This generation of Audis had some of the most beautiful interiors - ever. The Napa leather in this car is still my benchmark for automotive leather 14 years later...it was that soft, durable, free of blemishes and comfortable. The plastics, wood, metal and leather are all of the finest quality in these cars. The interior is tight though and the front seat bolsters can be a bit intrusive after an hour or so. //Summary. This was a great car brand-new, under warranty. I wouldn't recommend buying it used. My car was in the shop about six times in 15000 miles, so that didn't bode well for future reliability. I've had this car for 11 years and 150K+ miles, and I've enjoyed virtually every one. it's fun to drive, great traction and handling. I live about 15 miles outside of town, and going to and from work has always been a pleasure. Apr 10, 2013

I love the B5 chassis. However, I am an enthusiast who does not mind dumping money into one of these things. They are not incredibly reliable but with some mods this can be improved. The stock power is not really sufficient for a performance car, but there is a huge aftermarket segment devoted to performance modifications. The car's looks and features are great out of the box. Current prices are quite low, making it easy to snag one provided you have extra funding for repairs and mods.Mar 28, 2013

I absolutely love this car! It preforms just like I thought it would, its smooth and fast. I had to replace the clutch but other than that I haven't had any issues with my Audi. The car is extremely fun!Nov 05, 2010

Pretty sweet car. Pulls all the way to 155 effortlessly. Doesn't ride too stiff nor
too loose, its just right. The Germans build very nice cars and always will. When it
comes time to purchase a new car, I'll be sure to purchase one built in Germany. I
find it a very fun car to drive, especially in Tip mode. I would definitely recommend

Deffinately a Fun car! havent had any serious problems. it rides super smooth and with good tires it will take hard turns like a dream. the acceleration is more than enough to put you in your seat but i di plan on an ecu reprogramming to increase the tourqe by over 100 ftlbs! Extremely fast this car has torque everywhere in the rev range and it never gets old, good brakes, good handling
Very Good build quality. 9 years old and doesn't have a rattle
I personally love the look. very conservative.
I get 24mpg regularly. I have achieved 31MPG before though. Maintinance has been a killer though. Very expensive repairs.

TWIN TURBO AND ALL WHEEL DRIVE with HEATED LEATHER SEATS and
headlight washers lol what else could you want in buffalo ny? 0-60 in
the low 5's 1/4 mile in the high 13's rides like a caddy but handles like a

this car is amazing! i had a 1997 BMW M3 with mods but it doesnt even come close to the power of this Audi. Biturbo, AWD 6 speed manual! you cant beat that in any car...quite possibly the best multi production sports sedan in that era!Jan 07, 2010

Owned since April 20th, 2007. Only replaced Brake
pads/oil and 100k upkeep.
My own work has been ECU upgrade, Forge 007
aluminum Diverter valves, UUC shortshifter,
Zimmermann cross-drilled rotors, Bilstein Shocks,
H&R sport springs, SSAC Catback, SSAC 3'' catless
downpipes. All this work makes it a Stage 2+ S4. all

so cool they love it. its superfast and its great hearing
the biturbo spooling up when driving around town. it
takes a bit of money to maintain but its worth it 100%.

wow, what a car. superb power, great handling, very nice interior and all at a fairly reasonable price. And the best part is the all wheel drive works quite well in snow/ice. You can seat 4 adults, pay half the price of a high end sports car and get all weather handling. What more could you ask for? Its a great car....Jun 10, 2009

+ Fast and Bullet proof so far - car is stock.
+ Stealthy Q car
+ AWD traction was perfect for the trips to Lake Tahoe in the winter.
+ It still looks good for a 8 year old car.
+ Effortless cruiser- it loves the highways and is positively happy above 80 mph
- Cramped rear seats
- Needs better brakes and suspension to cope with the power
Will be keeping it till it dies eventually

This car is one the best daily usable 4 door rockets you could drive. Whirlwind of power, good looks, and room for 4 to embarass the Corvette next to you. This car was signed by world famous car designer Chip Foose when I met and hung out with him in Detroit a few years ago. I hope to stay in contact with him in the future. This car is awesome. With a chip upgrade it is one of the most fun cars to drive. Only problem with the design of this engine is that the turbos need to be replaced that it costs a lot of money to do that. Otherwise this is one of the best cars ever.Jan 30, 2009

This car is mind blowing, the detail on the out side and in side is just astonishing. The way it handles around the turns is wonderful(quattros are amazing), the biturbo ads serious power to the engine and it clicks in as soon as you put your foot on the gas, i only had to change the bearings in this car and do the usual service and maintenance, the audi s4 is rock solid, build with a stiff suspension and a tough frame it can handle anything, and its very comfortable and fun to drive. AWD - 420BHP - a sports car with 4 doors and a full size boot!
From the factory they understeer and have lots of torque but are still a bit tame. The factory brakes stop well, but they warp easily. Several modifications later, this car is amazing. Understeer is fixed with coil-over suspension and a rear LSD. The high-bias centre differential is important also (to get more power to the rear). Big 6 piston Alcon racing brake calipers allow you to stop all 3750lbs with ease (over and over again).Jun 26, 2008

I absolutely love my 2001 Audi S4! The car currently produces over
360hp and 400ft/lbs of torque thanks to new RS4 turbos and
Unitronic tuning file. The car handles just as good in dry conditions as
it does in the wet thanks to the Quattro AWD system. Audi has been
able to produce a beautiful car that does 0-60 in 4 seconds and has a
full leather interior with the S4. It is very comfortable, easy to drive, and
can take your friends on the ride of their life! Also, the V6 Twin Turbo
engine is a joy to wind up and can bring the car to speeds of over
175mph! This is an amazing piece of engineering. I expect this car to
become more collectable over the next few years and I highly

By far the best car I have ever owned.
The interior is a very nice place to be the ride is sporty but not too hard.
