1.6 Zetec Sport. Lighweight, quick and great handling. slighly slower off the mark than the saxo VTR but it handles so much better.
Modifications (running at 112bhp)
Minor external modifications including ST170 alloy caps, diffuser and de-badged
Magnex 5" oval cat back
Pipercross forced air intake
10mm HT leads and super 4s (evertime for a fiesta can't go wrong)
35mm eibachs
front upper, lower and rear strutbraces
tinted windows
5mm bigger throttle body intake
various interior modifications but nothing major

the performance isn't too shabby. quick acceleration for a 1.4 Zetec engine. it hasn't needed repairs apart from centre pipe and back box, which was fitted roughly about a month - 2 months ago. appearance is standard as they come for a fiesta lol.Sep 21, 2009

this was the best car, although i did collide with a mitiushi lancer , it came out better than i and others thought. it was metallic blue, sports lights and very snazzy, now i have to catch the bus im lonely.Jul 22, 2009

Compared to my old Ka - brilliant. cheap-ish to insure, reasonably rapid, air con, electric windows, central locking, quiet on the motorway, can acrry more stuff than you might think with the seats folded. Its a fantastic all-round student car. A couple of friends have similar cars and love them!May 11, 2009

60 in under 10 seconds will do me!!! IT only works well if the car is empty and i really push it. THe MPG is bad though even though it is a 1.25 the 16 valves and Yamaha designed engine make it faster than the 1.3 petrol :)Mar 16, 2009

great performance and handling for a 1.6 (that was the biggest engine before the st's there is now) interior was nice but maybe slightly plasticky. fairly good on fuel and id added an induction kit changed the front and rear lights and an awesome exhaust system. probably my favourite car.Apr 30, 2008

the zetec s was a good reliable fast car for it's class, the 1.6 litre 16v unit felt more that willing and felt very solid and well put together with all the toys like power steering and traction control and anti lock brakes and a firm ride gave a sense of security and safety when driving.not easy to keep to the legal speed limit as the car seems to make you feel like a 12 year old twoker and every car is another car to race Mar 23, 2008

Pretty nippy for a 1.2L. Not much torque low down but it picks up its feet above 3,500rpm. The powerband is between 4,000 and 5,500 rpm. Go above that and all your really doing is minimising he Rev drop when you change up a gear. It hits the limiter at 6,800 Rpm.
The Zetec-SE engine is an excellent engine and it was co-designed with Yamaha. It's lightweight, all aluminium block and head, double overhead camshaft, sixteen valve design.
Chassis is stiff and it would handle well with stiffer suspension. Still lots of understeer as expected with modern day FWD cars.
Ive got 195/50/15 Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres which are very grippy all round. They are good to rely on and you get nothing but positive feedback from them all the way to the limit.
This is the Non ABS version, ABS version would be more preferable. I would desire more from the brakes. The car feels skitty and loose under breaking. The brakes are Good by most standards, but I would prefere them to be better.

what can i say really, its a red fiesta zetec s,cant really comment on the power & speed as i dont really drive it that fast but its fairly nippy (compared 2 my last car)! i've had it for about a year after i wrote off my clio, chose it just because i always wanted a fiesta zetec s, mainly use it 4 work so drive it a fair bit, don't think i'd change anything about it, except maybe the colour!Jan 16, 2008

couldnt really drive this car too much as it was my mum's, but when i did it wasnt the best car in the world.
Based on the current Ford Ka chassis this car was great around the corners but lacked in confidence when presented with a straight road.Dec 08, 2007
