A sedan the can blow the doors off nearly all takers with only a handfull of
modifications.
If you're not prepared for it, expect some oil leaks and seeps. The motors
are built extremely tight. Minor fixes can feel like their nickel and diming
you if you're not prepared. But the quality of this German built car is

Great acceleration, high and low end. It handles like you wouldn't believe, with the AWD Quattro as well as the suspension upgrade. It's all leather inside with wood grain, fully equipped. Six-speed transmission, this car is nothing less than royalty.Dec 29, 2010

excellent, acceleration is smooth, no turbo lag, brakes are spot on, handling is very good, have had stiffer lower springs added. build quality as always on an audi is excellent, there are a few little niggles tho, appearance as standard is excellent but looks even better lowered, mpg can be good and can be bad, depends how heavy you are on the accelerator.Sep 24, 2010

The cars motor is just ridiculous getting the car from zero to 60 in around 4 seconds. Since I have had the car I put a 5 speed trans in it redid the brake system, and fixed a couple minor boost leaks. Gas mileage is garbage really doesn't matter much to me the car is crazy fun. Aug 30, 2010

fun car, but it can be a pain in the ass, but the fun factor usually makes up for it... it's a love / hate relationship. There's nothing like it and it does it with class. Maybe I'll do a Stage III+ one day.Nov 18, 2009

It has an ecu-chip which raises it to a total of 310 hp. It does 0-60 in about 4.9 seconds. The braking is very good. When you press the brakes, the car comes to a complete stop instead of just slowing down. The handling is great. The gas mileage is usually around 22 mpg. Nov 15, 2009

Great all around, very well balanced. 2.7L DOHC 30 valve twin-turbo V6. These cars love mods! If you want power and torque bolt ons are great for the B5 platform 2000-2002 S4. Mine has APR Stage 2 chip, AWE racing high flow test pipes (cats), Baily diverter valves, UUC Velocia Stage 3 exhaust, B&M short throw shifter, Bilstein 2.5'' coil-over drop suspension. 350++ Flywheel horse, close to 390 ft-lbs of torque, runs high 12 1/4 et. Bottom line, if you want a great AWD car and can mod, this car is great. JUST MAKE SURE YOU KEEP UP ON TIMING-BELT SERVICE!!!Feb 25, 2009

Poor man's porsche. Honestly, while not cheap, this one of the greatest sports sedan values on the market. Great acceleration, super handling, amazing snow/bad weather abilities and yet its a fraction of the cost of the more exoctic sports cars (911, M5 etc.). Having just bought this car I am extremely pleased. Audi built a solid engine in a solid car. This means it can be tuned extensively without many reliability issues. The problems the car does have are minor and easily identifiable. Just add a chip and you go from 250 to 315 horses and can STILL pass smog (in CA)
The Alcantara / Nogaro Blue combo is beautiful and I recommend it to anyone who is looking.Dec 12, 2008

that I've seen yet
-2.7 Bi-Turbo engine has been reliable for the last
100k.
-Car is a bit heavy...AWD, V6 with 2 stock turbos,
intercooled, etc...
-Handling is phenomenal, especially in torrential
weather.
-eats gasoline like a fat kid, unless cruising above
70 mph.
-the B5 S4 has been my dream car since I was a

As as base car its somewhat unreliable and not overly fast, but if you've got some money there are few cars on the street that can compare with it. OTS kits are running 11's easy and with a few show mods the car is a stylish sleeper all its own.Jun 19, 2008

A very sleek, fast everyday car. 0-60 in a little over 6 seconds - I have an automatic - and a top speed of 155 mph. The 2.7 liter twin -turbo V6 produces 250 hp and 258 ft/lbs torque. It is an extremely reliable car, and since its design is pretty conservative, as with most Audis, you can bet the cops won't take much notice to you.Dec 28, 2007

0-60 mph in under 6 seconds, all wheel drive for bad weather and less expensive than most high end sports sedans.
What more can you say about this car - Its a really great sports sedan that is quite practical. For $56k new - used you can probably pick it up for much, much less - you get a rocket of a 4 door sports sedan.
the all wheel drive handles better than most SUVs. I've taken this car out is some really nasty weather and it handles incredibly well (just make sure you get real snow tires for the winter as the stock potenza's while wonderful for the summer are dangerous in the snow).
