I think that the car overall is great, keep up the maintenance like any other car and you will have an excellent car that handles very good and sticks to the mountain roads. The car is great and I have really loved owning it, I am looking at buying an RS4 next.Aug 18, 2012

It's fun to drive, but way too many problems with it (replaced transmission, excessive oil leaks, etc...). I wouldn't go with another Audi after I had this one. It was too expensive to maintain and it had too many issues.Dec 26, 2011

i love this car. i would never give this car up. other than a little slow for 240hp i could deal with. and plus a pair of rs6 turbos will fix that no problem lol and some meth. also the handling is unbelievable Nov 17, 2011

2000 audi s4 2.7 v6 with twin turbo. car has upgraded borg warner k04 turbos with all rs4 components. the tuning what custom done thru vast performance. engine has 85mm mass air with rs4 mass air meter, ev 14 fuel injectors, bosch sidefire plugs,all pulleys,bearings and seals have been replaced including water pump and timing belt.forge 50/50 dv's, black silicone hose kit, custom electric fan kit,3in catless dp's into a 2 1/2" true dual single muffler cat back. transmission was just serviced and installed a vast light weight flywheel and vast stg 2 kevlar clutch. JHM front mount intercooler w/ black powder coated pipes, stratosphe coil over suspention... i just completed the front bumper convertion which looks amazing! exterior is all stock except for the 18" bbs wheels. car is running 24psi with a 4500rpm launch control. im excpecting around 420-450 whp when car does finally get to dyno. overall the audi s4 is a all around amazing car!! you have four doors for a family, interior is pretty luxuryious and roomie with heated seats, auto dimming mirriors,climate control.... exterior is sporty yet realistic " dosent look like it belongs at the track". the s4 is awd so all season isnt an issue. and yet with some extra money invested youll leave corvetts,cobras,wrxs,evos...ect sit with no chance... how many cars can provide all of that????????Jun 07, 2011

Faster then you could ever imagine but breaks down alot. I upgraded mine to K04's
and put in dual port injected nitrous. You better have money to own this car though

A sedan the can blow the doors off nearly all takers with only a handfull of
modifications.
If you're not prepared for it, expect some oil leaks and seeps. The motors
are built extremely tight. Minor fixes can feel like their nickel and diming
you if you're not prepared. But the quality of this German built car is

i love this car, any S4 owner will tell u the same. it is a awesome car. AWD Quattro is the best awd system in the world and geting it with a 6 speed manual with a short shift kit and twin turbos, yes twin turbos. i love the car more than any car i have owned, and ive owned alot of cars, jaguar, BMW, Nissan Z, infinity Q45, audi A6, +++. this one is for sale for $9000. call shaun 573.480.6427Dec 31, 2010

Great acceleration, high and low end. It handles like you wouldn't believe, with the AWD Quattro as well as the suspension upgrade. It's all leather inside with wood grain, fully equipped. Six-speed transmission, this car is nothing less than royalty.Dec 29, 2010

excellent, acceleration is smooth, no turbo lag, brakes are spot on, handling is very good, have had stiffer lower springs added. build quality as always on an audi is excellent, there are a few little niggles tho, appearance as standard is excellent but looks even better lowered, mpg can be good and can be bad, depends how heavy you are on the accelerator.Sep 24, 2010

The cars motor is just ridiculous getting the car from zero to 60 in around 4 seconds. Since I have had the car I put a 5 speed trans in it redid the brake system, and fixed a couple minor boost leaks. Gas mileage is garbage really doesn't matter much to me the car is crazy fun. Aug 30, 2010

fun car, but it can be a pain in the ass, but the fun factor usually makes up for it... it's a love / hate relationship. There's nothing like it and it does it with class. Maybe I'll do a Stage III+ one day.Nov 18, 2009

It has an ecu-chip which raises it to a total of 310 hp. It does 0-60 in about 4.9 seconds. The braking is very good. When you press the brakes, the car comes to a complete stop instead of just slowing down. The handling is great. The gas mileage is usually around 22 mpg. Nov 15, 2009

um...rs4 k04 turbos/borla cat back/710n's/Giac stage 3 tune/some supporting stuff. And it is a hell of a lot faster than hultgrens poopy ass mustang who will get beat by vas as we will see very soon

gotta love 2 turbos...just make sure to have dough if anything goes wrong. if u like having a car that the cops overlook and driving fast this is it. car has really clean understated lines, awd traction makes it handle like its on rails and and loads of power down low..passing in 6th is no prob at all.......Oct 31, 2009

The bi turbo setup produces little turbo lag off the
line and really gets crazy after 5000 rpm and pulls all
the way to the redline. The six speed clutch has tight

Great all around, very well balanced. 2.7L DOHC 30 valve twin-turbo V6. These cars love mods! If you want power and torque bolt ons are great for the B5 platform 2000-2002 S4. Mine has APR Stage 2 chip, AWE racing high flow test pipes (cats), Baily diverter valves, UUC Velocia Stage 3 exhaust, B&M short throw shifter, Bilstein 2.5'' coil-over drop suspension. 350++ Flywheel horse, close to 390 ft-lbs of torque, runs high 12 1/4 et. Bottom line, if you want a great AWD car and can mod, this car is great. JUST MAKE SURE YOU KEEP UP ON TIMING-BELT SERVICE!!!Feb 25, 2009

Poor man's porsche. Honestly, while not cheap, this one of the greatest sports sedan values on the market. Great acceleration, super handling, amazing snow/bad weather abilities and yet its a fraction of the cost of the more exoctic sports cars (911, M5 etc.). Having just bought this car I am extremely pleased. Audi built a solid engine in a solid car. This means it can be tuned extensively without many reliability issues. The problems the car does have are minor and easily identifiable. Just add a chip and you go from 250 to 315 horses and can STILL pass smog (in CA)
The Alcantara / Nogaro Blue combo is beautiful and I recommend it to anyone who is looking.Dec 12, 2008

My current vehicle obsession is my Audi S4. People who know me know I love to build and modify vehicles. At this stage in my life nothing serves my needs like this car. Comfortable on long buiness road trips, four doors for the kids, AWD for unpredicatable Colorado weather.
Performance was nice, but not outragous so I changed out the turbos, injectors and exhaust and dialed in the software to get it up to 400+ hp.
Looks were a little on the drab side, even in yellow. I'm in the middle of converting to RS4 bodywork which has taken be about a year and will probably be another before I have all the custom touches done and back to Imola yellow. The above picture is of a car that has completed the conversion and looks pretty much identical to how mine will look. Mine is acutally pretty much there now, just in primer. I will be doing a few custom things with the hood and rear deck but it will remain subtle.Jul 29, 2008

-2.7 Bi-Turbo engine has been reliable for the last
100k.
-Car is a bit heavy...AWD, V6 with 2 stock turbos,
intercooled, etc...
-Handling is phenomenal, especially in torrential
weather.
-eats gasoline like a fat kid, unless cruising above
70 mph.
-the B5 S4 has been my dream car since I was a

As as base car its somewhat unreliable and not overly fast, but if you've got some money there are few cars on the street that can compare with it. OTS kits are running 11's easy and with a few show mods the car is a stylish sleeper all its own.Jun 19, 2008

A very sleek, fast everyday car. 0-60 in a little over 6 seconds - I have an automatic - and a top speed of 155 mph. The 2.7 liter twin -turbo V6 produces 250 hp and 258 ft/lbs torque. It is an extremely reliable car, and since its design is pretty conservative, as with most Audis, you can bet the cops won't take much notice to you.Dec 28, 2007

0-60 mph in under 6 seconds, all wheel drive for bad weather and less expensive than most high end sports sedans.
What more can you say about this car - Its a really great sports sedan that is quite practical. For $56k new - used you can probably pick it up for much, much less - you get a rocket of a 4 door sports sedan.
the all wheel drive handles better than most SUVs. I've taken this car out is some really nasty weather and it handles incredibly well (just make sure you get real snow tires for the winter as the stock potenza's while wonderful for the summer are dangerous in the snow).
