The 1999 Acura Integra is an economical, sporty, and very dependable little car. What more could you ask for? It would make a great school car for your kid, or a great work car. Only downside is the limited ammount of leg room in the back seat. Mar 27, 2014

Performance is good. the 5 speed manual has good pep and acceleration. THe
brakes are firm and work well, and handling is excellent with the double
wishbone setup.
Build quality is normal for that of a Honda product. Less glam and more
functionality.
Appearance is exceptional, the smooth lines of the 3rd generation integra are
fantastic.
The cost of ownership for this car is very low, parts are cheap and almost
never need replaced.
The car is so much fun to drive. It has loads of power on the higher end of the

have alot to do to it and its no where near done yet but the longer i have it the less interested i get into it. I have put alot of money into the looks of this car and hardly any into the performance. Have a LS motor and if i keep it i will be putting an R motor in itAug 16, 2011

Overall it's a good car with great handling. My only gripe is it being an automatic and the lack of torque. This car also has a plethora of mods if you want more power which I cannot afford. I'm able to achieve 32 mpg on highway averaging 80 mph. Good little car and would recommend it for anyone to have first car. Sep 29, 2010

B20vtec tuned all motor 11000rpms custom straight pipe with apexi n1 axel back a lot of torque since its a 2.0 liter and a lot of hp from the type R head, she is fun as hell to drive and whip around turns since its a fully tuned track suspensionJun 18, 2010

I modified the suspension pretty heavily, and as a result, this car handles really well. But since it has the LS motor, its painfully slow when you run out of turns. Its best to keep this car on a windy road, which is unfortunitely nonexisting on my daily commute.Feb 20, 2010

Everything about this car is amazing, it looks clean, and it is fast, and just fun to drive on the open streets.0-60 is about 5 seconds, exterior is white with 18 in rims with a silver lip on them, and the interior is black leather. Acceleration is great, shifts at about 2000 to 3000 RPM, could be a quieter ride but I like hearing the road roar under the wheels! Very fun drive, looks great, Honda made the 1999 Civic look like Grandma's car! Drive one today! :)Jan 15, 2010

Decent power and handling for a fwd 4 cyl. High revving low torque engine. Does not handle high rpms on stock engine for long before piston rings begin to fail. It is a fun car to drive but leaves you wanting more.Dec 16, 2009

Cost of Ownership: 25 bucks fills it up, 27 mpg. change oil every 3000 miles and u are good

It's your typical tuner car. AEM intake, 8.5 mm plug
wires, 17" Kyowa wheels, Carbon Fiber universal
exhaust, sound system. Plan to maybe install HID's,
new front an rear bumpers, and paint it. Also a
detachable steering wheel. Good, reliable car,
economic, low cost maintenance. Its fun to drive,

Performance: decent performance, automatic transmition so acceleration is dampened, braking is good and so is handling
Build Quality: full leather interior, front end breaks when met with metal hitches
Appearance: sexy
Cost of Ownership:good on gas, minor tech problems (antenna retracting, hatch lock stuck)

My teggy was awesome owning it from 2001 through until
early 2008. The car had amazing performance and looked
great to anyone who knew anything about cars. My
mechanic loved it, My family loved it. Got me around
despite my low millage compared to others. I treated it
great and it returned the favor. Handling and power were
improved through some easy mods. I would have done
more except for the limitations of power on an automatic trans axle and tranny swap was impractical cost/ benefit ratio. Later in its life the Teg suffered a Rusted through
Exhaust pipe, Sticking door locks, Rust on the hood and
hood latch, Windows that would stick in the winter,
moisture in the tail lights, Brake calipers front and back
both were binding up and required replacement. (killed the
brake pad millage and gas millage) She also developed a
problem with switching gears. Forward to reverse would
have a delay of a few seconds. All this aside. I loved the
car and would buy another one if offered a good deal as a

Fun car. A good choice for an affordable "sports car", with plenty of aftermarket support and replacement parts practically anywhere. Though I was constantly parranoid that it would get jacked, and the ricer dub did bother me. Easy car to get in trouble with BTW haha thats why i sold it.Dec 08, 2008

Runs good, clean, has potential
performance is good for a 4 cyl.
handling is also not bad
with maybe 7,000 dollars, it would go fasssttt!
Overall a good car and a reliable car for the price.
I would recommend it for a first car. It can also be a good racecar :)

I drive a 1999 Acura Integra LS, it has 73,000 miles and has a 1.8 L. My integra was stock black, but was repainted red. They aftermarket parts installed at this very moment are: full apex'i exhaust, JDM headers, Short-ram intake, 17 inch Exel rims wrapped in low profile tires, 12 inch MA Audio sub with Eclipse amp., 5% tint on back 3 windows, then a lighter tint on front two (not for sure what %), 7 color neon underbody kit, 4 piece red interior neon set, Bomz Racing Seats, Halo rings on front lights, Carbon Fiber Altezza tail lights, R-Racing floor mats, shift knob and ebrake (dont know maker), Acura decal on back window, AEM license plate frame. My future upgrades include euro fog lights, lip-kit, lambo doors, type R spoiler,tein lowering springs, sparco pedals, sponser decals, stripe decals, and many more, there are too many to list.
The performance on this car is pretty good, 1st-3rd gear have amazing acceleration, but this car does not have that great of top end. It haddles amazing, and is just overall an awesome car to have and to drive. Gas mileage, i get around 30 mpg in the city give or take a litle, and around 35-40 on the highway. I would deff. recomend this car to a friend, but would rather them get a different car because having the same car is no fun!Sep 28, 2008

Its a great car to drive, not very quick but gets you from point A to point B quick enough. The intake gives it a great sound and makes it a joy to drive. Does a great job drifting in the winter too. So show love to the Integras. lolSep 04, 2008

modification to any suspension components. revs to a
high but heathly 8500 Rpm redline. Makes for a fun
drive and head turner. its amazing what power a little

The first car I bought myself! With a whopping 140 HP and somewhere near 118 lbs of torque, this was hardly a race car. But it had a totally unnecessary spoiler, 6 disc changer in the trunk, and some cool wheels. For a car in it's class, the Integra had few competitors with a strong engine and high level of handling prowess. A warped rotor was replaced under warranty shortly after purchasing. But otherwise, not one problem ever popped up with this great little car.
Much more than just a dolled up Civic, the Integra had it's own personality. Not exactly a sexy vehicle, the Integra did have a recognizable look... primarily because you'd see about 10 on your way to work. This is the body style that the Integra will be remember for, if only because it was around for so many years.
Since it was my first car buying experience, I was totally OWNED by the dealership essentially paying over sticker on a lease. But it was a lesson well learned. Now I actually look forward to buying cars.Aug 18, 2008

The GS-R is an amazing looking, riding and handling car. It gets good gas mileage, it's a nice quiet ride and is comfortable to drive everyday. It is also sporty enough to have plenty of fun with.Jul 10, 2008

Of the sport-compats in my price range it was the best choice, and that's for certain.
It performs very well for what it is. I've made a lot of modifications and can't realy speak too well for how it was stock.
The appearance of the car is great, I think. The cost of the car shows in the interior more than in most other aspects. I really don't like that it shares most of the same interior as the civic.
The cost of ownership has been great. It's been a pretty easy to maintain car. I've had some issues with it, but very few that didn't have more to do with how I drive the car rather than how well the car was made. The mileage is pretty good and I've gotten between 19mpg and 30mpg (typically about 22-25).
The car is fun to drive for a front wheel drive car. For the car's value, finding a car in a stock or near stock condition that provides more bang for the buck would be pretty difficult to do.Jul 08, 2008

This car is a blast to drive because of its very capable suspension setup combined with a high revving engine and 5 speed transmission. It would be so much more fun with a rear wheel drive drivetrain, but a limited slip differential would take care of a lot of that torque/under steer. May 05, 2008

Based on the 1994 year launch, minor detail changes throughout it's 7 year model history so the interior features doesn't change much. Bought it on a good deal, theft savage title, sold it because it cost too much to insure. Had fun while I had it. Mar 31, 2008

Mine was an Automatic so it wasn't too good on the acceleration or anything like that. It was a good car for getting to and from school and hanging out on weekends though, and I treated it like a sportscar which is why it ended up wrecked. Oh well good learning car and I learned my lessons from it so I don't hate it, just wouldn't have kept it forever no matter what.Mar 05, 2008

I love this car, just looking at it makes me happy. I have suffered financially for the past 3 years thanks to this car but I still love it and now it's mine!!!!! I had the probe when I found this car, I was working at a dealership and it was at the one next door. I seen it in the Auto Trader and during my lunch hour the next day I went to look at it. I couldn't stop staring at for my entire lunch hour. Normally I don't really like this type of Integra, there's too many of them but mine looked so different with it's minor changes. It's lowered, Euro taillights, white signal lights, dark purple tint, rare Acura rims and the entire interior is black and the seats are leather. At first I wasn't sure about the tint because purple is by far my favorite color but when the sun shines through the window everything turns this deep black purple, it's crazy. Jan 10, 2008
