Not a bad motor, parts are cheap. Easy to maintain to the D.I.Y mechanic. Quick
cheap fun. Low insurance group. 1.25 Zetec is a nippy motor combined with decent
handling qualities and decent fuel economy. Easy and reasonabley cheap to modify
aswell.Oct 31, 2011

great little engine but still a ford the end of the day

Good acceleration and done me well but it hated the winter when the coolant would not hold and the heating would not work. No power steering as you would expect with an old car. The engine was immaculate and only had 62000 miles on the clock when i traded it in for only £100. Did me well as it was my first car. Feb 17, 2011

This was my first car, my sister also drove this. I drove quite a lot with this car but especially maintenance on it was very expensive. It kept costing money. When my father bought a new car, I started using that one, especially because it was a Diesel.Oct 10, 2010

Good acceleration, average braking, eccellent handling. Build quality is good no squeaks or rattles. Apperance isn't bad appart from a few scrapes and dents lol. Quite cheap to run and hardly any maintanence. A very sporty and fun drive with power when you need it.Sep 22, 2009

I didn't really like this car, there was nothing special about it. It drove well, looked nice and I had no problems at all with it apart from not liking it much. I sold it a couple of months after I bought it.Jul 22, 2009

It is my first car, it has a 1.25 engine which means it takes forever to build up speed and even then it is low. I body of the car leans a hell of a lot round corners at speed.Jul 12, 2009

Performance:
1.4L engine, 87BHP no extra mods but shifts pretty well, corners nice.
Build Quality:
Had new exhaust but not had to pay for anything else...
Appearance:
Pretty decent, few key marks here n there, nice n clean and well kept. Jelly Belly air freshener keeps it smelling good!
Cost to run:
Costs 35 quid to fill up, that will get about 200 miles. can't moan at that, cheap insurance so its all good...

well were to start hahaha. its got standard alloys, well 3 of, 1 as a puncture, a dint on offside rear pannel wich is to close to edge to get out. i didnt do it btw. it is a yellowy green colour very light and girly. but on the bright side it passed its m.o.t 2nd time around after welding on the footwell and wheel arch. i dont expect much for my first car.Aug 23, 2008

I wish my car was faster and more agile. Just hey, i'm a single mum and cant afford anything flashy!! It gets me from A to B and it is quite comfortable. I like the fact that its black and has a wooden dash board. Very retro! But not enjoying the constant little things that are falling apart on my car. Overall, the car is very me!!!Aug 08, 2008

Getting on a little bit, and struggling to pass the MOT, James is still my baby girl. Starting to rust just over the last few months, she's in good nick, and a lot of fun to drive.Jul 10, 2008

Drives completely different to say... Corsas, but in a good way, the overall driving experience is rather smooth, and it is generally a nippy, fun car to zip around in. It is not ideal for overly long distances, but if you're looking to get from A to B within a reasonably long, or a short distance quite quickly without taking up too much space on the road, whilst sacrificing a bit of room in the back, then this is a car you must consider.Feb 14, 2008
