Love at first site I purchased this car 1 year ago and allready have modded the crap out of it, won 2 awards, and the car has more in its future as a show car and a potential race car.Feb 26, 2014

good car, high top speed over 150mph, about 7.0 to 60mph, engine too small,
lots of accessories and decent leather. cheap to fix and drive and it was roomy
and comfortable. good build quality, no squeaks and rattles. hard ride with UHP

The car is perfect for me and my lifestyle. I'm very hard on my cars and this one has survived through more than i have ever seen another car put through before. I just wouldnt recomend it to anyone around 6' or taller : )Sep 30, 2011

good car, looks awesome, the only problem is that it's rather slow. i did a 1/4 mile in
17.3 @ 82 mph. That's really slow. Good thing about it thought, is that it shares
the same engine as the Mitsubishi eclipse/talon non-turbo, so they make a lot of

For a 1998, its a nice looking car. The quality of the car is decent, one problem has
set me ablaze. I have considered installing intake and exhaust in order to give my
car a little more pep. This car is amazing to drive- sport steering makes it so much

My avenger is Quick completley stock i race my friends akll the time never lost. has great accelaration,built great has no rust and its driven in the winter,Great summer car. LADYS LOVE IT! Gets great mpg i love this car!May 17, 2010

AKA THE TURDBOX,it has no torque, no horsepower, brakes are to small,the interior is a rattlebox i am also too tall for it the undercarriage to the point where chunks of metal fall off, it usually doesn't idle,too many unfixable exhaust leaks, the down pipe fell off and, not too easy to work on.
21MPH hard to work on, paint is just fine, the interior looks pretty good "now that i ,own it''. green cluster instead of the PISS ORANGE from the factory and how do you like the modded head/taillights.Mar 28, 2010

Too heavy, acceleration blows! Do to weight tires go bad

fast. Sleek style. Decent MPG's. The car in itself has always
been good to me. I have almost 200k miles on it and had to
replace the tranny about 30k ago. Still runs pretty well. Oh
and the damn door handles are known to break on the
outside so... Get that fixed or your stuck going through the

decently quick, solid quality, this car looks sick, i have only had to do one repair so far and the reason for the repair has nothing to do with the car but the reapir was expensive because the engine bay is so tight. gas mileage is ok, the V6 didnt come with a manual option which sucks but its pretty fun to drive.Nov 18, 2009

I love this car, I will drive it til it can't be drove anymore.
Overall its a sporty and reliable car.
Performance: It needs a bigger engine, and def. a new tranny.
Build Quality: Everything is good but the door handle quality sucks, they break off easy.
Appearance: Overall I love the appearance of my car. The only bad thing on mine is that there are a few dents.Oct 23, 2009

Performance wise it's great. Accelerates smooth, brakes smooth and handles perfect.
Build quality, well mine has 230k miles on it and I had to replace the driver's lower ball joint and the driver's sway bar link because they went out. The windows tend to rattle at higher speeds, but it's a sports car.
Appearance is great I love the way it looks Interior is all leather and the outside has a real Muscle car look without having a Mustang like everyone else.
Cost of ownership is pretty low. Oil changes, Tune up's..the normal stuff. Gas mileage is good I drive about 74 highway miles on a quarter tank.
Overall, It is a great car to have and a pleasure to drive I love having an Avenger because I dont see many of them and mine has 230k miles like I said and still drives like a dreamMar 06, 2009

Basically its a peace of crap haha...but it runs good for a car with 140,000miles now that i spent a bunch of money on it....but it runs good now. I like the overall apearance of it. Has 18 inch alloy rims and a viper body kit with aftermarket exhaust...I want a knew car tho lolAug 18, 2008

Got this car used for 2,500. A little over 100,000 miles and still runs great. The previous owner was dumb and drilled holes in the exhaust so it sounds a little bad, but thats gonna be fixed good. I love everything about this car. Its got good torque, good braking, great on gas, and it looks amazing too!Jul 28, 2008

I was given this car as a gift because my old Eclipse blew up. It was given to me with close to 84k on it. It has a stock engine but I'm working on that part. I love this car. It's quick and handles great, I put some better tires and rims on it and I'm going to redo the whole interior soon. Give it a more sporty look. It gets about 23mpg and with gas prices lately it's better than my old truck. Great choice in a car, I'd recomend to anyone.Jun 25, 2008

I got this car with roughly 20k on it, and it had leather, power everything, power
sunroof, a quick V6, etc. It was fun to drive and treated me really well....until the
trans blew up @ 100k. The turning radius was poor, but everything else on it was

Performance: The 2.0L is small, but for the little motor my car goes quite fast. 35 in 1st gear, 60 in 2nd, 80 in 3rd and then on to 115 (top speed isnt its high point)
