Its my first car, I've had it for 3-4 years myself, its just time to upgrade. I'm expecting in 2014, and I'm hoping to find another Galant, newer year, just because I do enjoy the MItsubishi's, they're great cars, and I'm glad mine has ran this long. If you find one, in decent condition at a good price, get it.
Update: 3/14/2014
In the past 3 months I've replaced my brakes, my driver side brake caliber, I had the driver side motor mount on top snap and land up against my timing belt cover, which lead to my AC compressor seizing up and having to cut the belt. Then after that is when things got really interesting. My timing belt recently came off. No good if that happens. I have my replacement engine almost ready to go in. While the engine was out my dad replaced the seals on my tranny, and the new engine. He also managed to replace a leaking rack and pinion on the passenger side.
I would opt for a new car, but I'm 6 months pregnant now and cannot afford the payments. All in all having free labor and only $400 for the motor and him covering the rest of the small parts, saved me more. I won't have to add as many fluids now since all systems have been fixed. This car is an in town only car as well.Dec 07, 2013

i love my car there is enough room for traveling and if i have someone with me it has enough space so things arent so cramped up, the fact that i have 309,000 miles on it and it is still running and driving means this car will last a lil while longer and im happy, one thing i hate is im a ford girl and these forign cars are just to much to work on and i hate it, but i deal with it.Aug 01, 2012

With a 1.8l engine this performed almost like 2.0l but with better milegae. Drivability is good as always in mitsubishi cars. For such an old and lot driven car it worked quite fine. Looks are not bad at all, at least when compared to other Japanese cars in this era.Apr 25, 2012

I bought it cheap looking for a fuel efficient vehicle to offset my gas guzzling low-rider old-school chevy truck. It's 22 mpg, something you can truck the kids around town in or haul ass in if you so deem it. IF you've got the right mods.Aug 24, 2010

Mitsubishi Galant VR-4
6 cylinder 2.0 Liter twin-turbo 240 horsepower 4WD. What more could you ask for? Well... for once they can make it lighter. This weighs like a tank! Although the 4WD drive, stiff suspensions and 240 horsepower engine more than make up for the weight when it comes to the twisties. Definitely have this car in stick shift form! Build Quality - has it needed repairs? squeaks/rattles
Appearance - both interior and exterior styling are nice
Cost of Ownership - gas mileage, maintenance not to higt

Non Aussie Model, LHD Galant VR-V6, Great little 2 Litre V6, Full electrics, Very advanced for its time Climate Control, Very High Rev'ing DOHC Engine and the Gearbox is Geared to Suit, The car is just a tad bigger than the Lancer, Love al the Chrome OEM TrimmingAug 08, 2009

alot of money with it when things go wrong on it lol.
Performance, it runs very smoothly with little maintenance work
Cost me roughly 1200 dollars and its the best buy ive ever made.

3200 rpm at 70mph. Only gets about 27mpg. The 2.4 sohc is weak at best. The back seats don't fold down. Cheap as hell though. Don't buy as a racecar unless you plan on a full 4g63 swap.May 12, 2008

Great car, does everything you ask of it, highly economical and very comfortable. Respectable performance for a 1.8 litre, top fortys mpg sometimes straying into the fiftys if you're nice to it. Plus, never goes wrong or at least hasn't for the last ten years.Jan 05, 2008
