Performance: Slow. I expected the 3.9L V8 to be much quicker. Brakes great, handles like a 4x4
Bulid Quality: Very Good. Great condition which is So rare for a Discovery
Appearance: Great Conditon, Great Colour
Cost of Ownership: Thirsty on petrol, but this one had an LPG conversion so ran at almost half the cost. Cheap to insure.
Fun Factor: Would be fun to take off road, is fun to drive round the country lanes, everyone gets out of your wayMay 05, 2011

Love it, It seems like I'm always fixing something, but I love it. It has decent
acceleration, not breathtaking, towing is slow, handling is OK. I think it looks cooler
then the Newer LR3, I think it looks tougher. It is a great vehicle for Off road!Apr 09, 2010

A sturdy but slow SUV so if you wanna haul ass this not the car for you, but if you wanna ride in style and feel like there is no obstacle or terrain that can stop you this is it. The next best thing would be a military tank. Geared for torque, this truck does wonders out in the dirt trails. Be kind, rescue a Toyota out of the mud with your Land Rover. : )~ Like most cars it has needed it's own maintenance and repairs too, but the engine runs strong and happy. The Discovery is clearly confident with it's simple yet elegant looks. This scar is an adventure magnet. Fun to drive, and Very useful. Easy to work on. It's not huge but it's still roomy inside the cabin or if you wanna fix it yourself, there's plenty of room in the engine bay to comfortably maneuver to change out what ever part you want. It's worth every penny whether you're going offroading, picking up supplies at home depot for a weekend project or going out with 7 of your friends to a night club...Mar 17, 2010

I want my FJ60 back but this was te best driving truck I've owned ... super cool (and rare) blacked out hood ... rare 5 speed + V8 combo + 7 Seater ... super cool upper side windows with dual sunroofs ... sexy tall'n'skinny BFG Mud Terrains ... Performance- is not stunning on road but when it get's to
where it want's to be in the mud it's awesome.
Build Quality- Well........ it's british and built by Brummy's

It looks like an off roader so Love it or hate it. Personally I
love it
Cost of running - LMAO you having a Giraffe... 3.9 V8
near on 3 tonnes MPG around 13mpg it's bloody
ridiculously expensive to run fuel wise but parts and
repairs seem to be very reasonable.
Fun factor- Show this thing a field or a few muddy hills etc

It's a bit like Ronseal - it does what it says on the tin. It goes from A to B in reasonable comfort but it comes to life in the mud. It shrugs of deep water, feet of mud and brushes off run ins with tree with ease. Paint is pretty tough but the carpet in the footwells doesnt like getting wet...Oct 07, 2009

dodgy build, dodgy reliability but can go anywhere and people get out ur way, can carry anything anywere, cost a goo hundred quid to fill but suprisingly good on fuel, if it get stuck move a lever and it goes againAug 25, 2009

A solid car, not quick but thats not why i bought it lol.
Tows well and performs well off road and i've taken it to some challenging places.
is not look the smartest looking car and mine has body damage form going of road but its ok.
Its not bad to run, it does about 30mpg which is not bad for a full time 4wd, not had many problems with it even tho it does get abused alot.
As for the fun factor... on road its not fast or handle the best but off road its a laugh a minute Jul 15, 2009

nice - good for off roading - towing - cruising taking
the wife out in - ideal if you want to improve your
collection of tools as you will need plenty to keep it on
the road and in working order - nice to keep working

I like its over all versatility, able to go off road, and stick to pavement in harsh weather conditoins. Repairs are a bit of an annoyance though. Its very fun to drive, nice road handaling, and amazing off road handling.Jun 08, 2009

well my land rover has good acceleration and handling for it's size, but it's braking isn't the best at times. for example when it's wet outside plan on it takeing forever to stop, dry is good for a 3 ton suv. as far as quality, it's a tank ... just normal wear and tear on mine i have replace a starter, oil presuer (spelling) sending unit, valve cover gaskets, and the altnater (spelling again). i have owned it for about 2 years. Finding parts can be a pain but autozone and o rillys can get some things. i love the interior it's HUGE the exterior you ether love it or hate it ... i hated it at frist but i like it now . oh ya my gas milegage sucks ... 15 - 16 i have gotten 18 once but its hard to keep my foot out of it. the disco's are fun to drive after you get used to the size, i went from a GMC jimmy to the land rover, the rover is a little bigger :) ... it's a blast nowMay 22, 2009

well i think it is a good all a rounder, 3.5 v6 petrol with a very good performance.. know to have overheating problems. Brought car for work, cost of car was £3000 a while ago, fun 2 drive and very thursty on fuel. need shares with Shell or BPMar 02, 2009

The rover was alright but i was never a SUV type person so i loved it off road but did not like the on road part of the car ans the gas millage was terrible 10 city and 16 highway Jan 10, 2009

Every conceivable extra. A truly versatile motorcar, will always get you there and back regardless of the conditions. Will tackle almost any terrain and will transport 7 people in relative comfort. If the need arises it converts into a very spacious load carrier and will tow anything up to three and a half tonnes.Jul 19, 2008

Very comfortable front seats and the back's not bad either. Little small on cargo space but you can pile it up pretty high in the back to make up for the lack of horizontal space. Add a roof rack and you're all set. It leaks, rain and oil but its something I can deal with. Its slightly modded with a winch HD bumper and 2inch lift and a roof rack now. With moderate driving skill the truck will get you anywhere you need to go; if it doesn't then you probably shouldn't be there in the first placeMay 14, 2008

We like it, it's kind of unusual, so that makes it more fun. It rides nice, the V8 packs decent power, and it will tow 7000 lbs. Not bad for it's size, The dual power sunroofs are awesome, and perfect for a nice day. The stock stereo is Alpine, so it sounds killer. Seats 7. Bring your friends. May 06, 2008
