I've owned this car for several years and it has only needed routine maintenance. It has 240k miles and the biggest thing I have done is a clutch, computer, and battery replacement. It still gets 30 miles to gallon and saves me money every month by not making payments or higher insurance premiums that come with not owning your car or a car with a higher value that will go down over time.Feb 05, 2015

I like the spacious interior, its not major but good enough for me. Performance is relatively good, Gas mileage is OK. Appearance, well with some tints, it looks good. Cost of ownership is good, and it IS fun to drive.Jan 19, 2010

If you just need a somewhat reliable, very inexpensive to own
and even less expensive to operate car to commute, then this
is your ride.
The 2.2L VTEC engine makes great power, and the car is light
enough to feel quick. Handling is better than average and the
seats are very comfy. Even with 220K miles on the odometer
mine was still spunky, felt tight and the interior was in decent

i have installed a new AEM cold air intake and it sounds pretty good now. i did new brakes and pads along with e3 spark plugs for the ignitons system. JDM 2.2 liter god. it is a great car for transportation and fun.

First Car. Good Quality except for a few problems. For a car from 1996 and the mileage no major surprises. For 140,000+ miles it ran strong. Gets up and goes. Very fuel efficient. High 20s low 30s mpg. Cost of ownership wasn't too bad. I loved the car and it was a lot of fun to drive. Drove it many miles and had many great memories with it. I would recommend a 1996 Honda Accord to anyone if you buy a good quality one. Great vehicle.Sep 15, 2008

An accord is a great vehicle, its safe and has very responsive handling. I love having a five speed again. The car has average power but is still quick enough to get through traffic. It has no problem cornering or hugging the road. I also love the interior styling and design.
