Has 2.2 litre engine but performance is acceptable.
Braking is good with ABS system.
Car was last built in July 1996 therefore you don't see hardly any on the road.
Car is very reliable with low maintenance and repair costs.Mar 18, 2015

My wife bought this car in May of 2012. It has a 3.1 V6 and automatic
transmission. She paid $500 for it. It has 187000 miles and still runs like a champ. I
drive it back and forth to work every day. The brakes do need some work, though.
Worth every penny so far!Sep 19, 2012

I like the comfort, gas milage, preformance, and apperance , I hate the Abs system and the price to replace them is reidiculous. 1308,00 for a factory rebuit abs at the auto parts store other than that no complaints, took a direct drivers side hit I was travling at 5 mph the hitter ws in a mercury grand marqui ran a light and hit me doing 35 and the repairs were only 1300.00 and no injurys so I would classify it as well built and a safe car. This car is yer basic grocery getter.1 Has more balls than you'd expect from a 2.2L I4, and it handles nice for a 14 year old car. Best gas mileage I've had out of this is about 30, better than any car I've owned so far.Apr 29, 2009

I love my car, because it's perfect for my needs. It's comfy, it's roomy and it's not bad on gas. It's also solid, I destroyed a Hyundai in a car crash. Too bad, his fault. The car has "O.K" performances for a familly car with it's 4cyl, 2.2L 120HP, but don't expect it to go fast. The doors are heavy and shows that the car is solid and all. I didn't have any problems with it yet except from the handbrake that gave up after 13 years. It's style is great for a car that has been designed in 1987.Apr 13, 2009

Great acceleration, somewhat sensitive brakes, quality
handling. Rattles after 50mph. Large dent runs down left
side of car, paint peeling on roof and various other spots,
Interior looks relatively nice, exterior needs more work...
Mileage: about 120,000 miles.
Almost every car is fun to drive! It goes pretty fast, and
has great acceleration, looks like junk but is a speedy car.
It is the cheapest model made by Chevrolet, a Corsica is
the bare minimum or a car, has an odometer,
speedometer, and heat gage; no rpm meter, or weekly
mileage... Not the best car to own, but a good first car/
junk car...Dec 11, 2008

The chevrolet corsica is a deceptivly slow looking vehicle. Mine made 116 mph on more than two occasions, but only after burning about 3 miles of interstate. The handbrake is the only premium feature installed on any corsica, used properly it is very helpful for cornering on loose gravel or ice (it is not, however, much help on dry pavement...) All in all I would not hesitate to drive another corsica, in the compact class at the figure-8 races, that is. Aug 04, 2008

good car for just getting you there and not killing you. not so good gas millage but then again its 13 years old. small engine not fast no pickup really. pretty fun to drive not too hard to handle. It has a different type of steering that ppl arent used too. more steering involved. Jul 03, 2008

Mine was owned previously by a very nice elderly lady who took immaculate care of it. That being said it has a 3 speed transmission and a 2.2 four cylinder, so it definitely isn't a performance machine. I would really like to drop a V6 in it and get a better transmission. I drive mine on the freeway fairly frequently, so it does alright. Anyway, I have had to do a few minor repairs on it, but other wise it has always been reliable, even in the cold. I hope to pass it on to my younger brother as his first real car and get something a little newer for myself.Jan 08, 2008
