Great Marque , performance , styling, speed! Even the Valet's were impressed ! OK 40 words.. BMW's are for car guys, they require attention, but return performance and styling, excellent build quality, but like all German cars, and I am a German guy, they are over engineered, making maintenance a "interesting" taskFeb 16, 2015

Overall it is a great car never broke down on me. Got into a 10 mph crash and very little damage. I go to a gas station every other week so pretty good on gas and pay 10 dollars for the best wash every other week .Jun 30, 2014

I love the look and feel of the car, but haven't had much time driving it. Had some costly repairs 2 weeks after I bought it. Hopefully those are done for now. Can't wait to start making it mine. lolOct 09, 2013

I have owned the car three years now. Had some deferred maintenance when I bought it. Has 216,000 miles, compression is on par. When you drive an older car, you accept that instead of making a car payment, you have maintenance. if you cannot accept that, just buy a Corolla. I put Bilsteins on it. did some suspension work, new cat converters, other things as the mechanic says. make sure to not get too deferred on maintenance. Do these things and the car will reward you. The V-8 is a sewing machine that pins yountomyour seat like a rocketship. Do warn your passengers before you open it up. Sadly, the fun does not last long, as the car will rocket past 100 real quick. The Bilsteins were jittery for first few months but now, the car is silky on the freeway, and just turns into a tiger in corners. Quiet, good room. big trunk. arresting hook brakes. be careful, as other cars cannot brake anywhere near as good, I have been almost rear ended several times until I learned to give people behind me better warning. had it three years, should be good for at least another 5. Averaging maintenance over months and I am driving one of the top1% cars for about $250 per month. A good one will run about 5k. A good choice.Sep 21, 2013

Her name is Eva and I absolutely love this car! It is older so insurance is relatively cheap, but it is still a luxury car with electronic leather seats (including head rests and steering wheel), wood grain trim, electronic computer that measures and tells you about everything, sunroof, etc. everything comfortable is there. But it is still a quick car. Powered by a 3.0L v8 it has plenty of torque to catch up to whoever dares to pass it, handling it accurate and responsive and the turning radius of this car is incredible, reliable 5 spd transmission, and it is rear wheel drive. What more do you need? The styling and looks of this body style is exquisite, I plan to add a few things to it, some I already have, but this is really no wonder the ultimate driving machine.Oct 25, 2011

Its pretty quick, probably about 6 or so seconds to 60. No squeaks or rattles, pretty much a clean car, top to bottom. The black on black looks sweet. The front seats have tears in em though, so there are covers. Gets about 13-15 mpg, and if you can do the maintinence yourself, it cuts down the costs hugely. Performance: 2.0 6cyl felt very lively, not at all tired, brakes good, handles as well as the saloon. You don't notice the extra bulk. Performance: 2.0 Straight 6 smooth down at low revs but much quicker at 3k revs plus. Brakes very strong, handles nicely, feels safe. Build Quality: Nice and strong. Appearance: Very nice condition, almost Factory fresh. Cost of Ownership: 30MPG so not bad, reasonable insurance. Fun Factor: Good fun, a nice drive.Oct 12, 2010

This was my first experience with BMW. It was dark silver with light gray leather and automatic transmission. This one had traction control but was useless without snows on all wheels. This car is not a lightweight and a minivan would win a stoplight race, but once underway would run 80+ all day, which it often did. Several trips down south provided a pleasure with comfort for four adults, and on the 2-lane highways in eastern KY was a dream. This was a leased vehicle and I was going to purchase but changed job locations. Very low cost to drive overall. Like all BMWs this one was tight like a vault. Sep 08, 2010

Excellent all around. For a larger four door it does handle very well. The interior is very durable and excellent quality comfortable leather. The 5 speed make it and excellent performer especially on the freeway when you drop it from fifth to third to get around lane blockers.Jul 22, 2010

The 95 BW 525i is a very good loking car. the model i have is fully loaded for its time with all the features and sold performance. It is a very fun and sturdy car to drive. and it gets a good milage rating at 25Mar 03, 2010

Trim is loaded loaded, leather seats, heated front seats, rear climate control, traction control, yet manual transmission for an enguaging ride. I pretty much leave the traction control off at all times, sometimes leave it on when it is raining. Replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders and havent had issues since. Heater doesn't blow quite as hot as I would like, probably just need a new cabin air filter. Starts and runs slightly rough in the winter but slowly moves back to perfection as it reaches operating temperature. Wish it had a little more pick-up, but it is easy to tell this car is built for the highway, which is what I bought it for: to get out of town! Great car for the road, good amenities, decent fuel effeciency (~23-26mpg mixed) and plenty of room for baggage/equipment and friends!Feb 16, 2010

Classic lines, sporty characteristics and amenities fit for kings, this BMW delivered the marque to an entire new level or refinement and performance with it's introduction in 1989. By 1995 they improved on everything. Power now came from an updated 2.5 I6, more factory options were available and some cosmetic updates kept this '5' looking as smooth as it drove.Jan 12, 2010

i think that the 1995 bmw 5 series is one of the most handsome four door saloons ever made, performance is great, it goes from 0-100 kph in 9 secs, breaks are great, stearing weel is a bit large, sounds good. verry practical a bit large though.Aug 08, 2009

M50B25TU, mate to a ZF 5-speed manual and clutch assembly (from a E36 M3 3.0). 3.23 final drive. Custom exhaust, Z3 short shifter, E38 4-pot brembo's, custom steel braided hoses, Eibach pro-kit springs, Koni sport absorbers. 170hp and 200Nm @ the wheels. The car has good acceleration, good braking and handling for such an old chassis. Quality is good save for the rubber and plastic parts having to endure the heat of the sun. Jun 27, 2009

I just got my BMW 525i from my Aunt Sue, and it's awesome! I've dreamed of having a car for a long time, and to get one this sweet is just amazing. I can't even believe I got it! It's a 1995, and it's very fun to drive. I love having a sunroof! The acceleration is very nice for a V6, and the handling is phenomenal. It looks very classy, something I love in a car. This car(automatic transmision) accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in about 10 seconds, nod bad for 1610Kg(empty) touring. This car handles superb, TCS is perfect solution on slipy roads. Sport and Winter modes also included. My maximum was 217km/h and car remains very stable.Jan 28, 2009

Well for a 525i my BMW has pretty good pick up. Although it is a very heavy car and I like to call it the tank, it accelerates quite fast. The handling and breaking are great. The car is very fun to drive and drift in. It looks great runs solid and is very safe...like a tank! The gas mileage I guess is ok considering its a 95'. It gets about 22 in the city and 24-25 on the highway. I would definitely recommend this car to a friend because its safe, fast, fun, and it's quite the reliable car and a big bang for your buck! I bought mine used for only 4 grand and it's been great for over a year now.Nov 14, 2008

Bought as a short term solution for a month to sell on, now planning to keep it 6 months. Excelent car, bought it for a bargin price (£500) and has served me well so far. Fiirst automatic car i've woned and its wonderfully lazy. Big 4.0l V8 just keeps going and going. Keep wanting to take it to the Nurburgring, but it'll be an expensive trip there and back. Performance - Incredible for the size of car, 5 series estate isnt small, but the 540 had the biggest engine and loads of torque. 7.7 seconds to 60 and something in excess of 150 top speed. Build Quality - Very few problems, a few pieces of trim in the boot which i've caught loading or fixing have come off, otherwise, perfect. Might as well be made of old Tanks, its that tough. Apperance - Classic looking executive estate, looks better than the saloon in my optinion. almost a GT Tourer. Purposeful on the road with performance to match. Cost of Ownership - Parts can be expensive, fuel more so. 20mpg on average, sometimes less, sometimes more (27mpg is the best on a long run). Bought for £500, so it cant really depreciate further, roll on the service... Fun Factor - Amazing, a proper wolf in sheeps clothing. Sumptous luxury, and more extras than some new cars of similar class today. Everyone needs to own a V8 once, theres no better feeling, short of perhaps a V10 or a V12, but nothing sounds the same. The Bmw E34 is a great car it handles well, is much more driver orientated than its rival's (Mercedes-benz) It eats the mileage up very well i.e you can drive this car for 500 or 600 miles and you dont feel tired or achy when you get out!! Performance is good, the 2.5 is the best all rounder for MPG (about 30-34 on motorway) and performance. The build quality is second to noe even by todays standards. Everything right down to the switch gear inside the car feels solid. Appearance wise the 5 series e34 retains BMW's aggressive looks but at the same time it also appears to be a big business class car. Sep 08, 2008

163K Miles and running just like DAY ONE!! First gear sucks, but watch out once you shift into 2nd. Never needed any major repairs, still gets 30mpg on the highway, 24 in the city, how about that after 13 years!! I hate the fact that BMW made a 42K car in 1995 that had NO CUPHOLDERS!!!
