its extremely reliable and easy to maintain...it just has no torque and handling at speeds. over all i love the car , it treats me very well without failure, does not burn oil like other prizms or corollas are notorious forSep 18, 2012

I bought this black Prizm as a back-up car to my 1996 Prizm; it will also be a parts car for my 96 should I need parts in the future. Toyota reliability, low fuel costs, low repair costs, easy to park, fun to drive, great value!
UPDATE 7/27/2012: I sold this car in February to a Mexican from Des Moines. Apparently, he sold the to someone else and then it may have been sold to yet another buyer. In any event, the title was a mess after a few different people crossed of the new owner info and wrote in their info, so the Iowa DOT refused to transfer ownership. The Mexican called a few weeks later (after pulling every shady buyer tactic to get me to drop the sale price) and had the balls to ask me to get a duplicate title and mail it to him. I filled out the application, left it unsigned and mailed it to the Mexican with a note requesting $45 cash for my trouble plus the cost of the duplicate title. I never got a response. Two weeks ago, I got a certified letter from the Urbandale police department in Des Moines; the car was towed and impounded a few weeks ago (at 3 in the morning, hmmmm lol). So I had the opportunity to get the car back if I paid the fines, towing fee and storage fees; but Lord only knows what condition the poor little Geo is in after being driven around and traded amongst (I can only assume) some shady characters. Another great little car ruined by some careless owners.Sep 04, 2011

Nothing to dislike about this car, it has everything! It goes from 0 to 60 in under 10 minutes and will kick any car's ass in a street race. It's also good for bashing your way through other cars if need be.Sep 26, 2010

this car is absolute rubbish! its preformace is non existant, just trying to go up a slight incline is a chore. it looks like a nothing box. it has no features, like a white wall, just nothing. as far as build quality goes, the door trim stays in the doorway when you open the door. thats not an exageration. it rattles and weves when you go above 45. as far as top speed goes, well it will do 100, on a good day..... going down hill.dispite all that the engine is remarkably reliable. and the gas mileage is through the roof. 35-40 mpg. allthough if you were thinking about buying a geo my advice to you is to buy the equivelent toyota carolla. or just scrap the economy car idea and get a motorcycle.Jul 05, 2008

Wow. What a car. Y'know, there's not much to speak of in terms of handling, acceleration, braking, or looks, but it's just a nice, solid, reliable car. I've had mine for about 10 years, and through all its almost 150,000 miles, it hasn't failed me yet. It's been through a couple accidents, and it's been through some long periods of disuse, but it always manages to get you there.Mar 29, 2008
