An evolution of the 99 fi rst seen in 1968, the 900, launched in 1979, makes a great classic buy. Offered in saloon, hatch or convertible forms, there’s a derivative for every occasion, prices are low and you won’t fi nd a classic more solidly built than here. However, having been saddled with banger status for several years, most examples are tired and in need of more expenditure than they’ll ever be worth. The key is to look for a really good one, which needn’t cost much more than a dog, then look after it – you’ll soon see why Saab fans are so keen on this oddball Swede.Nov 12, 2013

Performance and handling make this car a relaxed cruiser. I really enjoy driving this although I wish it had a little bit more power. Fuel consumption is not particularly great. The appearance and styling are really great. This car feels like a pair of comfortable and stylish trousers.Aug 22, 2009

It is a good car. I really need it fixed but all the parts are also for Ferris. The car is an exellint daly driver in the summer but it kind of stuggles in the winter. Im hopin to get it fixed so i can turn it in to a street racer.Jan 17, 2009
