1993 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Royale Reviews, Pricing & Specs

I got this car used after it had sat for a year. Cleaned her up & fresh gas & oil change & ran like a champ for better part of a year. Then things started going wrong. It seems like one thing after another, which could be it's age showing. I've found when replacing sensors & the like- stick with the more expensive OEM replacement part. This car doesn't like the cheaper brand ones. Also, if you sustain any damage to the rear side quarter panel, it's a pricey fix-insurance may even total it since the roof connects to the two rear qtr. panels! Also, I really HATE the vehicle theft deterrant system. GM may have had the best of intentions, but these cars run longer than the TDS lasts. So you end up ripping open the steering column & doing the work-around fix millions of people have had to do!Jul 31, 2014

When I recieved this car it was already over ten years old, but only had about 83,000 miles on it. It didn't need a single thing touched until it hit 90,000 miles, when it started leaking coolant, still not a big deal. It's old, pretty ugly, but its white so dirt doesn't really show, and it because its heavy and wide I never had to worry about flipping over like with some cheap cars made today.Sep 05, 2008
