Just remember WHY I bought this. It's sole purpose in life is to get me to and from
the steelworks in a reasonably economical fashion. It has NO looks, it has NO
appeal AND it's a FORD....... but the price was right.Sep 19, 2011

My first decent car, a 1993 Ford Fiesta Flight called Mrs Jones! I absolutely loved this car especially as I ended up marrying the bloke that I bought it from! I was sad when I sold it but it had to go!Jul 22, 2009

a very basic no frills car, prone to rust (everywhere)
even the top of the range for this year only gives you eleictric windows... so theres not many great points.
if well mantained cen be very econimical, but to save a few quid you are sacrificing a lot, not very safe cars, and probably have the worst sucurity system known, with the standard ford any key (or screwdriver) will fit locks and an egnition that will break with a kick, basically the only thing that stops them getting stolen is that nobody wants to!Jul 18, 2009

My first car! Learnt to drive in it and had i for a year. Never broke down or cost me any money but they were pretty much the only good things i can say about it!
Was slow, noisy, rattled, felt like it was gonna tip over round corners!
Could do 90mph down really steep hills though!

Just bought a 1993 Fiesta XR2i. Has a 1.8 16V engine, being a light car its pretty quick. Acceleration is very good, although not much of a top end. For a 15year old car which has done over 100K its in very good condition and the engine still pulls. A well built car, only problem is they rust round the petrol cap. Would recommend this car to anyone that likes old hot hatches, such as. Golf GTIs, and 205 GTis.

This car is a genuine workhorse, can run for years with no maintenance as long as you accept that the body work is going to fall apart around you. The 1.3 petrol model i had never gave me a minutes trouble and i only paid £45 for it ! Bargain - i then sold it for £100 a year later wahey, i doubled its value in a year. Only with a fezzy. goes. stops. works. sounds like a transit van.
curious as it has a cold air feed to the induction manifold. not sure if that was some aftermarket job, or if ford were hilariously planning a turbo charged version?
dartford crossing toll people tried to charge it as a truck due to the lack of rear seats and windows. argued its the same size as a car, and they can either take the quid, or i'll sit there causing an obstruction.Apr 16, 2008

4th car bought from a neighbour for the sum of £300. I loved this car, my 1st car with electric windows, electric sunroof, bucket seats, big thick tyres with pepperpot alloys and central locking on a keyring. Mar 18, 2008

best car i ever owned. it never broke properly and when it had problems it never cost the earth. It aways picked up the peoplewho insulted it when thier cars decided they didnt like thier owners any more.Mar 08, 2008

A fiesta is a car everybody knows, the positives of its popularity is the easiness of getting replacment parts however it means they are not very valuable because they are so many around. This has a 1.8 diesel engine similar to the escorts just without turbo. The car is a bit sluggish at getting going however it has no problems in hitting 100mph. The car heater is magnificent the car is nice and warm within 2-3 minutes which is a good way to bust those cold morning starts.Jan 02, 2008
