My first brand-new car! I bought this in December of 1992 when the dealership was desperate to get rid of the 1992 models. The Altima came out in 1993, in fact those still said "Stanza ALTIMA" on them. I got one that was nearly stripped of features, and had them add on a factory air conditioner. (This IS Texas, after all!) Lasted into 2000 until it developed a transmission problem that cost more to repair than the car was worth. Fixable, and predictable problem (the throwout bearing for the manual transmission wore out) so I'd say it was the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Apr 21, 2008

Bought this used in '94 and it's been the best car I've owned. I've yet to replace a muffler after all these years and only had to replace the flex pipe. I've just read on the reviews that there were complaints about these cars being bulky and slow but I beg to differ on this. True they are bulky but the 2.4L 4 cylinder engine had plenty of pep for me and even my mechanic and friends couldn't believe this car only had a 4 banger in it. The car is starting to show it's age but that's expected for a 15year old vehicle. Mar 17, 2007
