We were active in a Miata club. Weekend get togethers and junkets to the Keys were a big part of the fun. We once had Miatas stretched the entire length of Duval street. We now own a 2008 RHT but our first love, our Yellow '92 will always be in our heart.Mar 11, 2014

We love this car, my wife and I had 13 Miata's. Best all around purist sportscar ever. Good power for a lightweight ,4cyl car with great styling, smooth manual trans, great handleing, good gas milage, cheap to own and operate, this car is the most bang for the buck.
If your considering a sportscar go test drive everything else and then go drive a few Miatas.
Be shure to drive a first, second, and third gen. they are all great in their own ways.

The car looks amazing and handles like it's on rails. Never been in a car that you have to learn how to push faster because it has so much to give. Could use a little more power for the straight lines but it's so fun on small courses it's worth it.May 16, 2012

its a very good car to start with if you plan to play or get to know a track it is
very easy and fun to drive first off because its small it may not have
tremendous power but the weight makes up for the car its easy to upgrade and
tune to increase the power it is also an front mount rear wheel drive car which
means you can use this not only on circuit racing but you can also use it on
drifting plus this is also a good starting car to learn drift techniques as for the
appearance the compact and low to the ground suspension set up makes it look
agile and aggressive enough to turn heads. another advantage of this car is
also on the drag strip due to the weight of this car and size a 300hp version of
the miata can actually stand up against 500hp lancer evo's!Oct 03, 2010

Handles very well, good on gas engine has low power natrally low to ground exelent brakeing, you can hardly feel it. car Is very fun to drive, responsive handeling age has taken it's toll on mine, I still have the origional shocks which contributes to more then factory origional body roll.

I love my car. She's put a smile on my face every day for the past 5yrs. She's not the fastest but rear wheel drive + skinny tyres = FUN FUN FUN. Amazing build quality, only the clutch has failed in 5 years of hard driving. She's a V-Spec, the highest specced MX-5 they ever made, full leather, I put a Nakamichi Stereo in with speakers in the head rests and a beautiful Nardi steering wheel, the same you'll find in an E-Type. I'll keep her as long as i can...Jan 26, 2010

not the fastest car but also not the slowest, pretty reliable you can beat on it alot and dont have to replace much on it, exterior gets rated as a chick car by many people but thats your own opionon, cheap to maintain and gets great gas mileage, most fun car on the road handles and feels like a go cartSep 27, 2009

I couldn't be more pleased with my Miata. I enjoy the driving experience even more than my 2006 Honda, and I don't just mean when the top is down on a sunny day! How can you complain about a 17 year old car that still purrs and never gives me a lick of trouble. Have the chance to buy one? Do it.Jul 06, 2009

What's not to love. Just like the ol british roadsters except it still runs flawlessly
after 120K miles! Great handling and driving dynamics, could use a little more
power, but what car couldn't. One of the best cars I've owned!Jun 10, 2009

I bought this miata a fews months ago from a mechanic from Charlotte. It has a GReddy turbo(15Gturbine td40h compressor), no ic, vortech 12:1 FMU, Racing plug wires, home made boost control, crappy stock GReddy BOV, fidanza 8lb. flywheel, 6 puck Spec stage 3 carbon metallic clutch. It's running 8lbs. boost, at least that's the maximum I read on the boost gauge at full throttle.
performance (mine w/ Turbo): Quick revs, acceleration(like a motor cycle, except not nearly as fast) 14.5 1/4 mile
Takes Corners at 40mph easily (note: don't apply gas or you'll spin out like me)
Quality: For being 16 years old, it's reliable, few problems, maybe convertible is leaking.
Apperance: looks o.k.
Fun Factor: 9/10... not a super car, but is a cheap substitute for a Lotus elise msrp: >$38,000 Aug 01, 2008

If you like driving with a traditional set up, i.e., front wheels steer, and
rear wheels drive, then this is the convertible for you! I will expand on this later!Jan 05, 2008
