1992 Lexus LS Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Just got it, very comfortable car, seems in pretty good condition for the year, something seems wrong with the brakes, they pull the car to one side, right when i step on them, but then feel normal, also sometimes, the open door lights come on when driving. And the check engine light is on, was told it was from a bad egr valve, i plan on confirming this. other than that, i've always read that this car is super reliable, that's why i got it.Dec 11, 2013

This car was engineered and built when Toyota was really trying hard to establish itself in the luxury car field. It was an honest effort that only fell short in the handling dynamics, which are vague and unsettled, and brakes that cannot dissipate heat. The engine is world-class and a joy to work on (I did my own valve adjustment and timing belt) and a joy to live with, I get 27 mpg @ 75-80 mph. Interior quality is very good, paint is good, but the use of plastics throughout the car means you must be gentle and patient with all that you attempt to disassemble. The complexity of these cars must be respected or you will likely get punished with repairs. If you maintain the car properly and in a timely fashion and follow the directions to the letter, you will be rewarded with a lovely hushed driving experience. My first Lexus gave me 110,000 miles with nary a breakdown. This more used car I have had to do niggling repairs to bring it back to glory, but it is a real sweetheart.Dec 01, 2009

its a good car, but may not be for everyone. have a V8 so it sucks up gas. great on the highway, perfect for cruising. i like that fact that is has a switch for sport and regular suspension. its not the best car for someone young to drive, but someone more older and mature might like it. other then minor mechanical problems that you get with an old car its still a great buyNov 11, 2008
