I have a 08 f250 an 06 expedition and the 92 exploder. Bought as an emergency vehicle and its almost perfect for its age. Scary slow going up mountain roads at high speed. Not 100% sure if she has 310k or 410k miles with all original parts but i baby her and she starts every time and really does almost whatever i need, just slowly. Only things broke are the ac and radio. Compared to the f250 that she was an emergency replacement for while it is rebuilt, its cramped and tiny. Its great in the snow, crappy in mud. Handles the dirt roads decently at 40mph when they are dry. Overall its not a bad little car, just too small for my needs.Sep 11, 2024

When I moved from Florida to Pennsylvania I was told I SHOULD get rid of my Honda and get a 4WD vehicle. I traded my 97 Honda for my 92 Explorer. Ball joints were bad but expected. Very little rust even in the Northeast!!! Starts and runs great everytime I turn the key. 4WD handles even the iciest winter!!! I am and always will be a Ford girl!!!Sep 18, 2012

Vehicle has great acceleration, braking, handling, and ground clearance. Have had some minor repairs done (Water pump, Clutch, and Head Gaskets) but should be expected since vehicle has over 200,000 miles on it. Still has original interior with exception of divers seat (Replaced only do to seat back broke). Very reasonable cost of ownership. Very fun to drive on and off the road.Oct 30, 2011
