I love the look of the old school Integras. Awesome little peppy engine! I wasn't a fan of the high gear transmission, as you're cruising at around 4K RPMS on the highway. Didn't have many problems with the car, was very reliable with a simple regular oil change. Nice looking interior with plenty of space in the truck (even with a sub box in there.) performance - pretty quick for an automatic, handles like a champ build quality - everything on the car done by me appearance - body work in progress, engine bay tuck almost done cost of ownership - great gas mileage, maintenace here and there like any other car, slowly buying new stuff fun factor - would be even more awesome with a 5 speed swap :)Jul 22, 2010

Third car: 92' Acura Integra LS. 1.8L. Manual trans. 150,000 Miles. $4,900. i thought it was the most beautiful car i had ever seen. drooled over it every time i drove by the corner it was parked at with a for sale sign in the window. it was lowered with some nice 18 spoke trw wheels. a ram air intake, airmass headers, DC Sports exhaust. put some money in to it, more upgrdes, and various repairs. A good friend Jose helped me paint it silver with blue pearl. and fixed all the dents and dings that had accumulated over the years( there were quite a few) Jose is a artist, it looked amazing i must say. along with a carbon fiber hood(may it rest in piece), M3 style fenders, all the emblems shaved and the spoiler removed. it was a a thing to behold. until i was on my way to my buddies house one day and i looked down for a split second and rear-ended a truck. this was the begining of the end. one month after we had put the finishing touches on the car, the front bumper was crunched in. not a major thing until. on windy day while i was driving home from school (UCA to Judsonia) the wind caught the hood (the hood catch was damaged in the accident) and ripped it open and it slammed into my windshield, destroying the carbon fiber hood, shattering the windshield and the sun roof. drove it for seven great years until on a dark and stormy night I drove thru a deep puddle and sucked up some water thru my cold air intake. the car died instantly. at 211,000 miles, it would never start again :( . found out later that i most likely bent a rod. so i sold her for 50 bucks to a repair shop owner. still makes me sad to think about it. jenny hated that car the entire time i owned it. i think she was just jealous of my affection for it. i drove my mom's saturn for a few months until i found... I have installed an aftermarket intake and removed the muffler, this helped the performance and it sounds quite nice. the engine was ruined when I bought the car (unbenownst to me!) so I thew 2000usd into fixing the engine and it runs like a champ... a slow champ. the 0-60 is around 8 or 9 seconds which isn't all that bad considering its age. it can keep up for the most part with my fiends Civic SI hatch. The milage is AMAZING! I go for around 300+ miles on a tank and I drive it like a teenager, because I am. The canyon is where it really shines as I got the suspension tuned to a quicker recoil and a harder compression I can take the corners confortably at upwards of 100mph. It's a blast and very aftermarket friendly.Oct 04, 2009

This car accelerates pretty hard in low gears gives an amazing shift kick when racing but the front end is a bit high so the kick causes loss of traction at the beginning of each gear for a short amount of time it handles just as well as my 96 downhills but leans abit too much too be truly competitive on flat ground, there are some sounds that old cars just seem to make that come up in cold weather but the car seams well put together and the engine is in excellent condition, great millage, and is a very fun car to drive its forgiving enough when you push it that it scares you but lets you fix your mistake but hard enough to drive and fast enough to challange you in certain conditions i like to say this is a car not that you learn to drive but teaches you to drive properly.Jan 07, 2009

Best car I've owned. It's 16 years old with over 140k miles on it and I have no major complaints about it. I've had for about a year now, the starter is just going bad, and I had problem with the radiator hoses, which was most likely caused by gravel that was kicked up into the engine. Also; the AC compressor seized up a few months ago, causing the belt to snap. So no AC. Other than that, it's great. Awesome performance, and good low-end power. It's also a good-looking car. It doesn't really look like everything else on the road. Gas milage is amazing, even with high prices, I didn't feel much pain at the pump. Average driving gets me about 30 mpg. It's a really fun car to drive, the 5-speed makes it even more so. It's really easy to spin the tires shifting into 2nd, and sometimes into 3rd if you really try. Mine has no performance mods save for a high-flow exaust and cold-air intake.Dec 13, 2008

It has good acceleration considering it's a non-vtec 1.6 liter 4 cylinder. The fun part about the car isn't so much the acceleration as much as it is the handling. It handles like a go cart. It has 166,000 miles on it and still runs well. Hasn't cost me alot to maintain, still looks good for being 17 years old, and still gets me about 26mpg city, and around 30 highway. Build quality for the time was great, Handling was amazing, acceleration wasn't too bad for the amount of power, braking was top notch even with out the ABS working. Car was alot of fun to drive in the hills where I live. I loved the sporty look and feel of the car, and the good gas millage it got. I had 209,000 miles on the clock when I had to trade my Integra in, and the engine was still running great. The down side to these cars, the ABS is iffy, normally doesn't work after all these years, the HVAC controls on the LS, GS and GS-R models tend to not want to work do to the joints within the buttons breaking, and there can be leaks in the interior rotted rubber seals. However, these cars can be cheap to buy, you can build up the engines to make a pretty nice amount of power, and if the body is well taken care of, they are a very sharp car, I would recommend this car in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a nice older Honda product to buy.Jul 08, 2008
