This car runs great, 21yrs old and it's still going... just had it checked and all it needed was a tierod and the battery was shot. Its a real beater, but keeps going strong.... Love it! I got it with just over 159k on it. I've already put over 1k miles on it in about a months time. Back and forth 70miles 3 days a week for school, trips to friends all over and to NY too... excellent reliable transpo but it is ugly, great gas mileage.handeling is sketchy. first gear a little too low but gets out in traffic nice from a dead stop. so so interior. good metal no rust.needs wider tires than stock ones.May 12, 2011

As a manual transmission, I get better accrleration. Braking & handling are ok, but the appearance seems to be back dated. Still I get better milage, low maintenance cost & lots of fun driving this car. So, I drive it very often.Dec 08, 2010

Amazing sexiness!!! It may only be a 1.6L 4A-FE but damn this thing pulls at 3,000RPM! I used to be a true blue Mazda enthusiast but this car has made me question my loyalty o_O! I suppose you could say I have ventured to Toyota now. I never thought I would say this but I love my Toyota Wagon, its a beast!Jun 03, 2010

Performance is decent, it goes 0-60 in probably 6 seconds. The Corolla's appearance is nothing special which I like. The build quality is also decent it only needed repairs on the exhaust. Its a fun car to drive since it can out run a Kia.May 15, 2010

It is an old car but works just like a new one. HAs a new Transmission and has gotten many things put in it that are new. The only thing is it does not have a sound system in it.Nov 09, 2009

The best car I've ever had. When we sold it at 228,000 miles, it still ran as if it were brand new. As long as you do normal maintainance, it ran great! I even drove it through a blizzard and it did great. As far as I know, it's still running.Sep 09, 2009

its a great little vehicle with a pretty decent 4 speed box and a 6L four cylinder with NOS. What more can you ask for? For a 1991 model with only 74,000 K's on the dash it does a pretty good job.Aug 08, 2009

Performance, though not great it is decent and easily keeps
up with highway traffic. With the addition of a K+N air filter,
synthetic oil and good spark plugs I upped the gas milage by
5 MPG to 48 HWY. 1.6 liter engine and 5 speed. If I kept my
speed down I am sure I could hit 50. Handling is great as this
was an upgrade from an old Tercel.
Build quality is excellent and parts are easy to locate used
and new. Appearance its a nice little wagon nothing
spectacular that stands out, its an average looking car that
nobody take much notice of. Cost of ownership has been
low I did the usual things maintenance wise and it has not
let me down. Most of my expense has gone into Oil changes
and gas. Fun Factor, as a wagon its been very versatile. I've
managed to sleep in it when I went camping and the rain was

Nice car overall, but as it was old it had it's share of
body issues. Engine wouldn't quit. Started instantly,
even in -20°F weather. I was a little under powered so
it wasn't the funnest thing to drive, but Corollas aren't

Performance - About 70kw at the front wheels
Build Quality - old car needs new bearings maybe new radiator.
Appearance - Very clean interior for its age exterior needs a few dents removed otherwise not bad maybe new paint job.
Cost - $50 for a full tank good for bout 500km reliable
Fun Factor- lacks power does good burnouts and 180's handling aint great either maybe due to bald tires :P
corolla's are reliable hi revving engines good for a thrash.Oct 22, 2008

No major problems. Just regular maintenance. The upholstery is still perfect. The paint is still good. I noticed a hole forming in the rug under the gas pedal. Great little car and still running strong with 189,000 miles. Oh, and it gets 30 MPG! and is a very comfortable car to drive.Oct 08, 2008

Very reliable, not too uncomfortable to drive. Always starts and things did not break easily, except the rear axel when it hit a curb during a drift-session which went over the limits ;) Very economic, could run 20km/l or 5 liter pr. 100 km.

at 200,000 miles its running strong. its only had the very minimal maintenance and what not
done. If it didn't need to be fixed it wasn't.
