The car was so beautiful to look at. 5.6 litres, lot of power but a gas guzler by todays standard. it runs beautiful. I got tired of hassle of changing the top and lack of power seat which was not even an option. It is hard to understand why 420SEL which also I had, had these options even though 560SL cost at least $2500 more.Mar 26, 2013

The mighty 560SEL was the safest car on the road when released, but also came with a powerful 5.6L V8. Driving a MB of this size and class is a unique experience - nothing quite comes close to it's sedate yet monolithic power.Mar 24, 2012

This car is well taken care of for a 1999. There are currently no problems. No noises. Had some maint done on the car but no major repairs. The looks of the car are elegant with a rag top. It is a comfortable car. Sep 17, 2011

Is a nutters car. Chipped to 410bhp, 2" lower, 960watt stereo.... is nice... in old
sorta way.
Cheap classic Insurance for 165mph..... Uber-reliable, and kick down & takes off
even at 100mph... Is scary sometimes.
Bit like an aeroplane snarling up a runway... accelerates its acceleration as it speed

this was build between 1984 till 1992 there was the 380 420 500 and the rare modell 560 sec. this is with 300bhp. the most tghing i like in it iss thats its a sports car but in the same time a muscle car Apr 26, 2011

This is Big Jim-named after my father. He purchased it new in 1986 and I have it now. What a beauty-he has style-a real classic. THIS IS A MERCEDES-BENZ!! This car is very dear to heart. Would like to find an honest local mechanic for repairs. Handles well, body is in good shape. Apr 09, 2011

These are the last of the hand built Mercedes
SEC models .They drive and feel like no other
car except maybe for Bentley or Rolls Royce .I
have owned 3 Cadillacs the last one being a
1994 Deville which I really liked. They are
nice too but they don't compare with these
Mercedes.There is something about owning and
driving them that brings out a pride of

Love the car best ride I have ever had. I will get rid of her. - This car is a tank. I
got in an accident with the same body style and this car saved
my life. 5.6 liter engine is nothing to laugh at, she is a sleeper. Handles like a
dream and is comfy especially with the heated leather power seats front and back.
The air shocks in the back make for a great ride for any passenger. Can easily go

Hmm best car in the world reliable starts everytime, world class luxury , It's too fast you could go 260km/h in it it'd feel like your going 30km 3ton beast it is powerful 5.6L V8 Merc Engineered like no other.May 25, 2010

A true rich man's car. It was the ultimate in luxury and technology in 1989. traction control, ABS, self-leveling air suspension, some of the most comfortable seats ever, and of course, a great big honkin' V8 under the hood. All a man ever needs in a car.May 23, 2010

You don't mess with Benz. They're classy but don't be fooled these cars have balls! Though costly to maintain it's well worth it. As Mercedes come out with newer vehicles they get even more beautiful. You never want to stop driving in this smooth ride. Treat yourself with this luxurious car.Jan 19, 2010

Classy well built car, getting on in its years now but it still has
a while to go. Powerful V8 with 5.5 L displacement means high
top speed but also low gas mileage. Its pretty heavy and not
very quick from a dead stop but still fairly good. It's engines
actually surprisingly quiet. It is still an incredible ride with

IT was a 560 sl that car was by far one of the best evr made. It looks excellent in every detail althugh it is a bit outdated the fun factr is a 11+ the build quality is gd but have had many costly repaiirs for that carSep 10, 2009

this is class at its finest the the extended wheelbase on this model gives it amazing ride quality and the suspension is sublime. this car looks and feels like a mercedes should. and to be honest it can get up and go when needed.Jul 02, 2009

fast comfortable, rock solid engine. dont really like the looks on the exterior but the inside is awesome. the car accelerates really nice and has a nice sound to it between 2500 rpm and 5500. thing is great and very nice reliable car
