My Lovely Honda Prelude Car is for me a ( movie star) Its good looks says it all'its allureing in Traffic'its powerfull and strong'and the road that we Travel goes on and on'It has no rust its bodyworks white and driveing her is a sheer delight'its done about 6000 miles a year from new'and the best example of a Honda Prelude'I have ever seen'So im looking forward to Summer 2012 to see what its capable of achieveing'after all these years its undoubtably splended and its Flip up lights are Flirty and Bright'it does command attention on all roads'and hope my ( winter ghost) will shine through the night'Its all mineNov 24, 2011

performance: among the best, great acceleration and impecible handling always with zero body roll Build Quality: it looked like it was at one point very good, but as i got the car second hand my frame needed to be rebuilt from scratch when i bought it Appearance: given its age the car was absolutely beautiful, very streamlined. the interior only had one ugly piece... the gauge cluster Cost: better gas mileage than some new vehicles, and being a honda the motor will last forever. fun factos=10 of 10Dec 29, 2010

Let's start with the engine it's not a high rever like most hondas good tourqe from a 2 liter engine at 130 ft/lbs almost as much as the 135 hp. The transmission feels a bit sticky at times but that could be just the 200,000 plus kms the ratios in first and second are quite long. Build quality seems real well no squeeks or rattles. The back seat is rather tiny tho... The exteirior styling is really classic with it's flip up head lights and low center of gravity styling and almost has a mini firrari look to it haha even tho it ain't no firrari speed wise it could come close in handling. interior styling is a little bland but well laid out and in reach of the driver. Great visibility and no major blind spots. Cost of owning this car is Relitivly low if you maintain it properly. not the best fuel econemy for a 2.0l but it is 20 years old so for it's time it's pretty good about 25 mpg As far as fun to drive goes it's super nimble holds the road like on rails due to it's low wide stance and stiff suspension. I own a hard to find 1990 Honda Prelude Si 4WS, which stands for four-wheel-steer. This is a rare car in the sense that preludes were only made in japan and that on this car, the front AND rear wheels steer (turn right and left). This feature makes the car fun to drive even though it is only a 4 cylinder. I bought it with only 117k miles on it which is low for an 18 year old car. It runs and drives like a dream, and if i were to get a new car, it would be another prelude.Sep 28, 2008

Ironically saw one of these in a local scrap yard over a weekend, by the next weekend I had bought one. Didn't have the car long, unfortunately had to get rid of it quickly because of a company car. Therefore I didn't have it enough time to fully appreciate. From my memories I remember it being a brilliant handler. This was due to 4 wheel steering technology which also helped when parking. The engine was still a carb so that was a first for me. It sounded well when it got up the revs. Got to hand it to Honda, their engines are built well. It took stick all night once. Right roung to 8000rpm and no faders. Didnt have any problems with the car apart from one of the previous owners had blew up the speakers. Wasn't the tidiest example but car was cheap, had the usual rust on the arches. Given it an average rating, if had it longer might have been diffent. Not many of this era of them left. Should be a bargain if you can find one. Jul 31, 2008

She was suffering a bit when I bought her June 2007...young fella before me beat her up pretty bad, can't blame him too much though...I remember driving my Dad's 5 spd Firebird when I was 16! So we've been in a constant state of needing repairs, but being my absolute DREAM car - it's worth it - and one day she'll be racing around again...Hopefully I'll still have my teeth by then, because I'll be smilin ear to ear!Jul 21, 2008

I loved the car when i first got it. But, now everything just started to break on it. We bought it for $2000 and put ridiculously $8000 dollars into just to get the basics and everything fixed from the power-steering pump, radiator, alternator, timing belt, muffler, transmission, air conditioning system, and a few other electrical compartments. Externally it looks good. But, the engine has needed alot of work, and now something else has broke, we don't know what, our guess is the head gasket, or a rod, or something. We're not totally sure. When everything runs right it's a very nice car, and fast as well. But when stuff starts to break, this car can be a nightmare, especially the older ones, cuz the older they are, the more stuff can break. It's had 2 owners. And it has about 198,000 miles on right now. So, any advice about what this problem can be? And what i can do to fix it? Or what should i do? Jan 01, 2008
