Awesome car! A legend in drifting, cheap to maintain and drift ) it has great interior and exterior design. I'm tall, so I can fit in the interior of this small coupe, but I wish I had more offset from the steering wheel, but it can be fixed with a deep dish steering wheel ) No problems except the engine, is too old and breaks allot. But it can be fixed easily, and it has good power. The build quality is good, there is no rattles and other sounds and its more than 20 years old! but the most exiting is RWD - it's fun to drive, and it is very predictable when the tail goes happy )Nov 23, 2013

The car had a nice feel to the clutch. Rode pretty smooth and had little to no malfunctions during driving. The way I built the car to be was nice, it didn't have any body kits, only engine based improvements. Had black interior and exterior. Overall, the gas mileage was great for a 1989 and the car was fun to driveNov 02, 2011

At his own time, they called him the Japanese Porsche... and yes, it's a really fast
car!
If you want to drive it smoothly, it's easy to do it... If you are in a rush, go up than
3000rpm and spread your wings, then you fly!
Beautiful styling, very good comfort for a sports car, reliable and does not waste
too much petrol. I made a medium consumption of 9 liter each 100km... nice...

One of the best cars in the world in my opinion. Thats why I have them 2. One is battle machine and other is daily. The blue on has SR20DET engine, the red one highly modified CA18DET. Also this model has a lot of performance parts.Mar 22, 2010

Want to use this car for drifting and mountain drive as well. Bought the car so cheap and in very good condition (better than AE86). Did few suspension and exhaust mods only to the car and sold it at more than I paid for, haha. Overall, a great RWD car to have fun with.Dec 30, 2009

Good- Drifting, Sliding, Sideways!, Not slow, drives lovely.
Bad- Too bumpy( coilovers), too slidey in wet, can be unreliable(no experrience yet)
Overall great car, no desire to sell it unless its for a better one! If you think you like it, buy one! there cheap as chips.Oct 12, 2009

I bought this car in 2003 and started upgrading it. The standard engine is too quiet - seriously, the viscous fan is noisier than the engine, so away went the covers on the underside of the bonnet and on went a cone filter and a tasteful but noisy exhaust. The standard suspension at 12 years old was a bit long in the tooth and one shock had gone so on went newer suspension (lowering 30~40mm) and a strut brace - that made it handle quite well along with the 17" wheels that were needed to modernise the look of the car.
Nissan used mild steel for much of the car, so it's prone to rust in places that're exposed to debris and the elements - most notably the arches and sills.
With the upgrades I'd already done it's quite quick and very fun to drive. When I've finished the rebuild (with further upgrades) that I'm half way through at the time of writing it'll be incredible!
Don't expect to get good mpg if you intend to 'enjoy' the car - they're not hugely economical, especially after upgrades.Jul 20, 2008

Best car for drifting there ever was, you hav to up the power a little to keep the drift. Taking into considiration that the car is almost 20 years old the, build quality is pretty good since I haven't had to make any changes to it.
The car attracts alot of attention, because it has those beautiful pop-up lights that was so popular in the nineties.
Fun Factor ..... keep going sideways with this one !!!!Jul 08, 2008

With the proper tunning this car can leave behind a lot of the "big money cars" and its perfect for drifting! ;)Jan 31, 2008

Good car.
Interiors good but stripped out.
Exterior is standard.
Handling is good to start with but i've improved mine with aftermarket bits.
My overall impression is that is nice cracking car and you can have fun with it.Jan 26, 2008

Car is very good, reliability isn't an issue, lacks some of the performance of the skyline but again, isn't used for the same purpose.Jan 11, 2008

Welcome to my 1989 Nissan 200sx (also known as the 180sx in japan). It has a 1.8l turbo 16 valve engine which produces 171 bhp (CA18DET). Here are some figures: 0-60 in 7.0 seconds and 400m drag race in 14.2 (measured). It isn't stock anymore and produces around 280 bhp (not measured yet) thanks to new 444cc injectors form the R34 skyline, a walbro fuel pump (255l/h), a MAF from a 200sx s14, a GT28R turbocharger, full engineback exhaust system, a FMIC, a dump valve, a cold air intake and more. The chassis as well has been reviewed in order to make this a track car. Jan 05, 2008

The acceleration is really quick in this car which is a 1.8 petrol... a bit slow until the turbo kicks in at about 2500 revvs though.. but apart from that it'sreally quick and handles well around the corners. It's got an induction kit and dumpvalve fitted, with toora alloys, but one of them's buckled so it's a bit temporamental on iceDec 26, 2007
