Judy's 2nd Brand New Car - Red and another Mercury (her last). This dude was fully loaded. It had the full blown electronic dash. I was initially concerned that it would be the first thing to go on the car, but it never gave a lick of problem. The coolest thing about this car was the keyless entry with a keypad on the driver's door. We told the kids the combination and anytime we needed anything out of the car, they would love to go get it. Performance was adequate. As I said, this car had all the bells and whistles - when I was driving it home from the dealer after purchase, I got on the freeway and got it up to speed. Then I started to hear this beeping sound. It drove me nuts. I was realy not happy about that. I called the dealer when I got home and they told me the beeping was the speed sensor. A novel idea that was really lame. Anyway, that was the last time the speed sensor was on. It had another feature where it would tell you the gas mileage you were getting instantaneously. Not sure how it worked - probably based on manifold vacuum. It was pretty neat in that when you were coasting downhill, it said you were getting about 100 mpg - yeah RIGHT. Mar 28, 2010

my dad has one of these cars and it is a piece of trash, it broke down 7 time and the back tires are old and bald as baloney. he got this car for free because it had so many problms with it. The owner could'nt handle it. every time we open the sunroof it gets " Jammed" in the way back so to get it out we use these big plyers and one time it almost broke. when ever we open a "snack" in the car if we have any of these so called leftovers we dump them in the back for the rats to munch on. when he tell us to clean it we never do and he says he'll clean it up later but he never does. we go to mc donalds breakfast, lunch, and dinner. they know our names. and the worst part is the AC does'nt work. the seats are all ripped up from us farting all the time in it. and we use the car for a garbage can,and to move our funiture to other places.Aug 01, 2008
