My prelude isn't to bad overall. I only wished that wiring this little rig up would've been a little easier to do. Its primed at the moment ready for paint. An its a fun car to drive. It sounds like a bike at high revs though...Aug 15, 2010

Driving this car is like driving a go cart on the street. I CANNOT WAIT till I hook up the 4 Wheel Steering I got. This car is great on gas and is really fun to drive. It's my second Blue car with blue interior. :pAug 15, 2010

This is an excellent car. I recommend buying one if you have the chance and you can still get them relatively cheap. They are becoming collector cars though, especially the 4WS models, so expect the prices for Preludes in good condition to rise in the coming years. They are extremely fun to drive and you'll fall in love with it almost immediately. It is a beautiful car to look at inside and out. The performance, especially the handling, is superb. The build quality is excellent as well (it's a Honda!) but these are performance cars and they do need to be maintained very carefully or repairs will cost you big. Jan 12, 2010

the honda prelude si is a very reliable car to own it has great performace with the 140 hp dohc motor the car handles like its on rails and with the jdm yellow fog lights and the power roof makes this car really fun to driveJan 04, 2010

The handling is excellent, gas mileage is superb, low maintenance; uses little oil... and yes the car is fun to drive. Interior and exterior are in excellent condition. No rust yet. Only thing it needs is new shocks and strutts. Could use some mods to make it faster.Oct 14, 2009

Fastest car I know of for $1000. Handles like a dream. Very
little room in the back however. Quite good on gas, if you
wanna drive casually. Very fun to drive, the four wheel steer

everything its acha hai about my car, cool tink is my sound system its damm on.. performance its cool. road handling is perfect, but tyres are very important make sure used bridgestone give u exicelent driving, guds spark plugs give d car more energyJun 24, 2009

I loved the simple design without unnecessary curves or additional edges. Acceleration was adequate, while braking and handling were awesome. Interior comfort and amenities are really good, rare in a small, efficient car. Build quality was amazing, especially considering it had lowered suspension and the additional vibes didn't reduce quality over 135k miles. (100k with suspension)May 19, 2009

It's not really a sports car since the performance is not so amazing (I didn't do any tune-up or modification).
But this car is fun to drive, the gearshift were precise , seating position good, and I love the pop-up headlights.
Build quality was typical Honda, I have no problem at all with the car, and I only go to the shop for regular service.
Oh, did I mentioned it's quite frugal on fuel?

Out of this world handling - best outward visibility - pretty reliable car - kinda slow
sometimes - great brakes - sharp steering - sweet popup headlights - very very fun
car to drive with the 4-wheel-steering and tight suspension. Very much
recommended for anyone who loves a good handling and steering car. Very low

Performance - Very good pickup
Build Quality - Very thin panels, kinda flimsy, basically the same as any Japanese car...
Appearance - Really nice looking car, sporty and sweet looking.
Cost of Ownership - Great on gas, though it nickeled and dimed me to death due to maintenance.

i rate this cars performance based mostly on its fine handling. it really does corner superbly in stock form and with a little help in the suspension it corners like its on rails! a very reliable honda built in japan and shipped to the us in those times so quality is superb. its a small car but large enough for a weekend get away and ample trunk space for a little honda. a torquey 2.0 liter engine under the hood good to 6k revs. although the power ends a little after 5500. with little aftermarket support for our little ludes modded ones are on the rare side and a sight to see. a must drive in my opinion. I bought this 89 lude back in 2004. slapped on new tires and felt cool drivin it. Raced it a time or two. Seemed like every year about the same time the alternator would go out of it. Not sure why. Had 3, count em' THREE control arms replaced on the sucker. the right headlight motor was busted so the car would wink! It was a fun car for me. And i the only reason i sold it was because i found a better one. a 93 with 100,000 less miles than this one! I'm happy with the preludes. Too bad they discontinued production.Jan 31, 2008
