Great little car,, i loved driving it!!!! plenty of space, great commuter car for work. easy on gas,, gets up and goes when u punch the gas. easy to work on! i have had alot of fun times in this vehicle, i definately recommend it!!Feb 01, 2013

These Camrys are great cars! I used to think 'American cars all the way' but these Toyotas have changed my mind as I have owned three Toyotas, including two gen 2 Camrys. The fuel economy is quite good for doing mostly city driving, excellent for freeway driving as well with cruise control. One complaint I have is the lack of uphill power, even keeping it down in second it struggles up large hills. Manual transmission is easy to drive, great for a first time learner. These cars will run forever, my previous camry had 234,000 miles when it got totalled and this one has almost 170,000 miles and it runs like new aside from a little burning oil from the valve seals.Nov 22, 2011

This car has had only 3 Owners:
Toyota has been a reliable car.
My thoughts on the performance - acceleration,
braking, handling:
acceleration: it is fair Power mode gives you a
boost.
Breaking:
Its a heavy car it doesn't stop on a dime.
Handling:
Steering is tight and responsive
Build Quality :
Maintained by original owner
Appearance: Has some "idiot" dents on the
exterior the interior is in great condition.
No tears, However missing some covers for the
lamps and it came with some odd cover one if
its clips are broke.
Cost of Ownership To be updated later.
Fun Factor depends on ones view of fun lol
probably not good for racing but if you like

the 88 toyota camry le is a great car to drive and fun to drive.also the performance is good the acceleration is good thanks to the 2L I4 16V engine that produce 118 hp.also its cheap to run than to buy.fuel economy is 22 city 29 hwy thanks to the overdrive and the EFI.Jan 06, 2011

this car is a good run around car i get around 600km's to a tank plus the proformance of a 2 litre duel over head cam celica absolutely beautiful car for handeling and ride and only lacks in air con which can be easly rectifiedJan 25, 2009

purchased as a work car I am so suprised
how well this car runs yes it is old and
knocked about making it ugly but it's
very reliable and economical. only
repairs;brakes and a windscreen(my fault)
not a fast take off but holds it's own
over 60kmph. Strong body means not much
damage in minor accidents. Seems to use a
fair amount of oil and clutch fluid.
Excellent first car and an easy car to

This was my First 5 Speed manual trans car... this was truly a blast to drive. Learned to smoke tires on car with this thing. Was kinda slow but again it was a 1988. And was faster than the previous dodge and ford i had owned. Did have some spots of rust on the fender. But the build quality was solid. Overall i would buy it again.Aug 28, 2008
