I did not want to buy the car. My previous car was very nice and its engine went out. I wanted to hate the little Colt, because I could not afford to buy a new car at the time, and I really wanted a nicer car. I drove the car for about six years. The car went through intense winter cold, snow storms, and high levels of heat in desert climates during the summers. My Colt managed to handle all of that with much more grace than I ever imagined possible from such a small car. Car was loud under acceleration, but when wound hard could keep up with very expensive cars. The car handled well in snow and ice. Constant oil leaks were the only problem. Sep 13, 2008

This car is ugly, slow, and has terrible performance. But it got 30+ MPG and could haul SEVEN full-size adults. (Note: This was the Vista model, not the base Colt). Great for large dogs or hauling other stuff. Quite the workhorse for a rinky-dinky four cylinder engine.Apr 28, 2008

The Dodge Colt E was literally a rebadged Mitsubishi Mirage. The only place it even said Dodge was on the trunk lid "Imported for Dodge". This one made the fabled Bloomsburg/Dallas trip: 31 hours there, 24 hours back. Which killed the transmission.Mar 09, 2008
