This ute was a complete basket case when I got it. The previous owner
simply drove it. He did not look after it in any way. It was like an
archeological dig finding lots of lost and new discoveries.
I went through this old truck from stem to stern and fixed all that was
wrong. What a mammoth task. It was worth it. This little truck is sooooo
useful. Sep 12, 2011

Performance: Slow
Build Quality: Mostly good. Mostly.
Appearance: But ugly 80s minitruck
Cost of Ownership: Cheap. As is my dignity.
Fun Factor: Slim to none.
Ultimate cause of death: Significantly less than it took to kill the Hilux on Top Gear.Apr 16, 2009

Ok truck, could be worse. Weak cylinder, rusting pickup bed. Maxed out at 85 mph on I-91. That was down hill. About 200,000 miles on it. Lock in the hubs and put it in 4WD, it'll go almost anywhere. Put it in 4WD low, it WILL go anywhere.Feb 13, 2009

I drove this truck when I worked at Conquest and someone had to monitor the other site every few hours. This is a real rough'n'ready truck. There was a problem with the parking brake; it would always come loose.Apr 19, 2008
