1987 Chevrolet Caprice Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Best car ever. My 87 Caprice isnt that powerful being the 4.3L 262 but i can burn rubber when i want. Owned the car since it was new and in the process of restoring it to its former glory and putting a 350 in it. I love the style. It has awesome body lines and its own personality compared to every little ricer honda or toyota out on the road today. Its a big car with a big interior and its like sitting on a couch and all the trunk space you would ever need. Overall its extremely reliable. Ive only put a little money in it because its over 200,000 miles so some things needed to be done but all it needs now is paint. I love driving this car and going into cities and turning heads cause you just dont see cars like this anymore. Best car ever.Feb 22, 2011

The car as a whole is amazing. Parts are easy to find, and relatively cheap. Plenty of room everywhere from the trunk to inside to under the hood. From a performance standpoint, its not the best, but i also think i have an internal problem with the motor (blown ring or bad cylinder). That, though, is going to absolved when i drop my LT-1 in soon. Gas mileage sucks (literally *note engine problem). The car is very fun to drive, even though it is a tank. The back end kicks out easily, but is equally easy to control, and straight-line performance is quite good from anything other than a complete stop. As far as whats done to it, the deer i hit in may slowed me down a bit, but ive got pioneers headunit and speakers all around, LT-1 coming soon, as well as a B&M ratchet shifter and trans kit. Wheels should also be put on soon (20" Devino Verve) and the body is just about ready for paint (House of Kolor Charcoal Metallic with Blue-Green metal flake (pictures of paint should be on soon)). The only other thing I'm planning on doing is putting subs and amp back in.Jan 08, 2010
