I've had my 84 Colt GTS twin-stick turbo since 1985 and it is a killer auto-cross car. I can't count the number of trophies I've collected with it. The twin-stick transmission means you can always find the right gear and the power to weight ratio is great. I put a 1 1/8" sway bar under the rear and it handles like it is on rails. The 1984 didn't have a water cooled turbo, but you can add the plumbing from a 1985 and get it.Dec 16, 2009

I used to have a 84 Dodge Colt back in the late 80's. It had the 1.6 liter 4 cyl with turbo and 4x2 spd twin stick manual. That car would move. I think I got it up to 110 mph once. Only bad part about the car was the turbo went out at 70,000.Feb 21, 2009

This car was the fastest car I have ever owned. Mine was black and was a 4 speed, but it had an overdrive stick that made each of the 4 gears have a high and low. It was like having 8 speeds. AND had a turbo charger. It could out run a Corvette, yes I raced one...It passed me when I got out of 3rd, and the 'vettes 4bbrs kicked in.Jan 08, 2009
