Economical, great leg room, it was the first extended cab, Stowage behind seat, Peppy 2.2 motor, excellent visibility with no blind spots, 4 speed stick shift. all original equipment, upgraded two barrel Holley carb..29 mpg in the city average prior to rebuild. 160 on complete premium rebuild, and still breaking inJan 24, 2014

Def. not my fastest four cylinder vehicle. But by no means the slowest, either.
after fresh brakes, shocks, and carb, trucklet runs and handles great.
If you want to get double takes and thumbs up everywhere you go, find a
rampage in someone's back yard and buy it off em.Nov 15, 2011

Loved this little Pickup. 2.2L Engine was easy work on and it was great in the snow. Wouldn't mind having another one as a little weekend runabout. Great little pickup truck. I've hauled over 8 sheets of drywall and it never missed a step. Oct 21, 2009

Performance -I Love this thing...Is it a car? Is it a truck? It's actually a better Truck that you'd think. It's payload is rated @ 1,100 pounds and it does pull it not real well up the Mountains here in PA but, what can you say, it's a fwd 4 cylinder. Build Quality - Not too bad it has rust issues here in the North but the Struccture isn't bad. Appearance - I love the looks that it gets as I drive it down the road. Mine is not a show piece but I'd take it if I had the time to finish it about half decent just because I want to see the reactions to it. Cost of Ownership - It's a 2.2 Chrysler Parts are cheap and easy to find. Body Parts...not so much Rampage specific Parts are getting really difficult.Jul 23, 2009

I owned a 1982 Ramage and then a 1983 Plymouth Scamp. I had a job where I was doing a lot of windshield time and had to carry a small load of tools. I drove those vehicles each over 200,000 with minimal problems and excellent fuel economy. They handled very well and were a delight to drive. I live in Montana where we have serious winters and the front wheel drive was wonderful in getting around. The only significant negative was that they had the lousiest carburetors in the world and I was constantly changing and/or overhauling them. They should have been fuel injected like the later 2.5 liter engine.
I liked them so well that I am restoring one now to use as a personal daily driver.Apr 23, 2009

I still have the old Rampage. It was great to drive, faster than hell for a 80's front driver. Too bad Chrysler had no idea what rust protection is.Mar 30, 2008

I have driven a rampage for the last fifteen years, and their are maney reasons why i think it is the best truck ever made.First it drives and handles great,it is very easy to get in and out of.The doors open very wide, also you can put things behind the seats {the first exstended cab].You can put things in the back of the truck very easy without streaching over the sides. The gas mileage is great ,i get 26 to 31 miles per gallon.Mar 04, 2008

had my eye on this car from the time i was in grade 10. i bought it a few months after i turned 18. i love it for its uniqueness. i had plans fror rebuilding a turbo II for it. after only having it a short while i ended up losing it on loose gravel and dropping it of a 30 ft cliff.Feb 12, 2008
