It just got too rusty. I would have kept it longer if it wasn`t for that. New England winters werent kind to it. It was the best car I ever had. Rusty Jones didn`t keep it from rotting away to nothingNov 25, 2012

I mean, this is no jet powered car, but after 30 years, she can still turn on a dime and give change. Nice and tight around the corners, stays right on the road. :-) And the most important thing - she gets out of the way when somebody tries to smack into us. I mean, really. I have out-maneuvered at least three larger vehicles intent on causing us harm. For a 30 year old car, the interior looks new, although I did wear out the front seats. The exterior still looks good after all this time with only minimal maintenance. Still gets over 30 mph - I have saved a fortune in gas. As like - compared to my pick-up.... So she's cheap to run. She's at the age now where she needs more and more repairs. But, hey. She's been on the road a long, long time. This car has always been fun to drive, and I can carry home sacks of feed in the trunk with the back seat folded, too. I've been loving this car since I bought it in 1981!Mar 09, 2011

Lotta new stuff under that old hood of hers, but the back ends pretty rough, dont have the goods to fix it myself, so im trying to part her out, or sell her whole. It still runs fine, but driving it is shunned upon by those who are cops.Mar 07, 2011

I have owned this 81 Accord for 29 years. Still love it. Runs like it's almost new.

It was my first car. I LOVED LOVED LOVED it, never gave me any problems. Fun lil buggy to drive. I loved the handling of it & it was always reliable when my other car wouldn't even think of starting. I am looking now to buy another 81 accord to restore..what can I say, I still carry her in my heartFeb 28, 2010

The Honda Accord 2 door hatch 1979 - 1981 really is a classic
of the future. I bought one in immaculate condition with only
28,000 on the clock. The handling and comfortable driving
were hard to match. The sleek lines and easy maintaince made
it a dream car. I would really like to own another one preferably
gold and automatic. Apr 10, 2009

This car was fairly cool as it was a stick shift and was basically my first car. I covered the back seat with a blanket I bought in Mexico. It was friggin awesome.Jul 12, 2008

Only 15000 miles. Used as a second emergency car. Its great for shopping, with the hatch back. Small turning radius handles very nicely and very agile. Engine is barley broken in.
We no longer have room for it.Mar 12, 2008
