The car only has 6 cylinders for the motor. I am looking for a v8 and posi rear end. I liked the car but the price was not flexible. Mar 11, 2024

Acceleration i Ok.
New master brake cyllinder so braking is exellent.
Handling is a bit loose.
Drove it from BC to Alberta to BC to Alberta with no problems except gas.
Few rattles in the door from the stereo other than that pretty smooth ride.
Exterior is Sexy, mettalic blue Sparkling paint and Nice chrome.
Interior could use some plush! few dash cracks.
Payed $2500.
This car is Amazing to drive, So beautiful, definatly a head turner.

She was my first car, she cost 200 bucks. She was white and she was rusty, but I loved her all the same! She sucked in the snow, and flew when it was sunny. I met my husband in this car.Sep 18, 2009

This was my second car it was a dark green "almost" racing green, well I like to think so anyway. Great times in that car. It fit a ton of people and it was great for all sorts of urban games......Jan 30, 2009

I've been driving a 1981 Monte Carlo for just over two years. It never lets me down, but the gas mileage always gets me. The driving is excellent, and it has little to no problems.
Couldn't ask for a more sturdy car. If you are looking for a car that gets from point a to point b, this works great. Don't exxpect much on the racy side though. It's acceleration is poor, but that is to be expected from the tall gears.Jan 22, 2009

I would like to have 500 horsepower and 500 torque minimums. I redid the whole interior and front clip. I added a spoiler and cd player. Gas mileage is crap, about 12 to 14 miles per gallon. It is fixer upper and thats what i wanted. I get a blast out of driving my car through town and cruising.Aug 14, 2008

This car is not much to look at, but it will always hold a special place in my heart. This car started with a weak 229 cid engine. The old 229 was replaced with a 305cid high output motor from a 85' Pontiac Trans Am. Since then, I added: dual 2.25" exhaust, chrome wheels, Edelbrock intake manifold, Holly 600cfm carburator, Hooker headers, Accel ignition system and a high-flow catalytic converter.
With this car is the start of my love for American V8s & muscle cars.

I'd like it better if I could find information on the 1981 MONTE CARLO LANDAU TURBO not just the standard production model. Information is so hard to find, if I didn't own one I would think someone just made it up!Oct 14, 2007
