Renault 5GTL What a piece of junk! But it could get 2 carp fishermen in with all there gear for a weekend session, Rods and on the roof, rucksacks on the back seats, bedchairs in the boot, bivvys and sleeping bags shoved in anywhere there was space. Metallic Green so when parked in the field next to the lake it blended in. GOOD TIMES.Feb 14, 2010

mine was the TS model with Gordini spec,It had a race engine built by Mick Haynes Racing 1400cc which put out around 125 bhp,and was much lower than the one in the photo, twin choke with straight though exhaust,bucket seats...and it sounded NICE Jun 28, 2008

Ma première voiture, cadeau de mon grand-père. En un mot magique!! On fait sensation avec ce genre de voiture en ville... Et certaines choses n'ont pas de prix : le crissement de pneus dans les rond-point, l'inondation par le plancher en cas de pluie. A participé brillament à l'EcoShell Marathon 10€ avec un résultat de 180km, soit quelque chose comme 5.1L/100 (moteur coupé en descente & co, attention!!). Elle n'a pas à rougir par rapport aux nouvelles voitures : son moteur 1.3L GTL et son équilibrage en font un rail à 160km/h compteur sur autoroute. Malheureusement le compteur s'arrête là : avec une petite préparation vous les dépassez largement. Autre point fort de la R5 GTL 79 : son aptitude en tout-terrain. Bien plus haute, légère et moins rigide qu'une 205 elle passe partout (et trouve ses limites dans les champs de choux parfois...).Jun 24, 2008
