this was my very first gm wagon. it had the original 5.7 diesel engine. when i bought it it didn't run, the injector pump was busted. i toke the diesel engine in parts and made complete overhaul. i hear people telling bad things about these diesels but my opinion is that it was great engine WHEN USED RIGHT. they don't take smoke emissions from seventies diesels so when i had the pump and injectors worked i told the dieselguru that he should build it so it runs and works great, don't bother about emissions. and boy did it run! faster than 305chevy and waaaayyyyyyy faster than 307Feb 21, 2013
