My first big project, I miss this truck.
I put a good bit of cash in it and sold it for no reason.
Was a big part of learning involved with it. Will get another someday.
Not hard to find, And it makes sure you get what you paid for.Jan 31, 2011

in the process of building it up. it does everything i need it to. i just finished putting a modified engine in that i just built myself. still have some body work to do but the drive train is solid. Oct 17, 2010

Needs a new hood, probably put a small scoop on it, little fender work,
a new steering wheel/horn, new flatbed paint, and I'm saving up for an
Edelbrock 350ci crate motor, plus 6-spd trans, pretty much a whole new
drive train.Sep 03, 2010

low geared. Great in mud. Has a lot of power. Completely restored. interior and
exterior in great shape. brand new motor. 3.73 gears. 6 inches of lift. very fun to
drive. gas mileage is not the greatest. requires standard classic truck maintenance.Jun 07, 2010

I traded my Mazda for this truck for winter driving in Iowa. 1990 Mustangs don't do well in the snow, it had a LS5 454 from a '70 Chevelle. It had a good bit of torque but 5-9 MPG stinks. Sold it when I got the 1993 S-10.Oct 24, 2009

It's an old Heavy pick up with a lot of torque. not exactly great in the mud or crawling up and down hills. i wish it had a 4 speed in in it, but that old TH350 will out-shift any manual Ever made.Sep 24, 2009

For $500, it was a great truck. it was only two wheel drive, but still had some good off road adventures. It was a thirsty beast too, only about 8 miles to the gallon when I was being nice to it.Sep 01, 2009

No pics right now - in the process of rebuilding this 79 Chevy Shortbox 1/2 ton 4x4 Truck to be a show truck. Bought as a plow truck - with a tired 350 (stock motor) gonna be better and not a work truck - retiring into the good life!! Will post pics as I get them.Jul 17, 2009
