My 78 monte carlo was a z34 model. It came with an aluminum trunk lid. To find a car form the 70's like that, ha good luck. Wish I still had her. It was definitaly one of my favorite cars to drive and to work on.Sep 14, 2009

1978 Monte Carlo Limited Edition with factory 305 c.i. 118,000 orginal miles. I never really had the chance to drive it since I was in the process of restoring it. It was my dream car that I've always wanted since I was in High School. I hope I find another one someday to work on and restore to my likness. Aug 21, 2009

My first car. This is not a real pic of it, but mine looked much like this one. Mine was green however and needed some paint. I had the same wheels and rebuilt the car from the ground up, engine, tranny and suspension included (mechanically it was sound and hauled ass beating up on the poor good old Mustang GT 5.0 benchmarks of the day). It had the V8 with some upgrades so it was the same as an 85 Monte Carlo SS basically (but faster due to the upgrades).Jul 10, 2009
