Strong powerful 4x4 truck. I've partied in it, slept in it, dated in it, camped in it, worked with it,...
I've had it for the last 35 years out of 38 years old.
It's never let me down, and always got the job doneAug 12, 2014

Was in the family since it was new, I was the second owner, it started out as a low profile XLT camper special. Then the fun started with a picture in a magazine, the first 3" lift kit was installed. Seen there were bigger tires available , so that lift kit was replaced with a 8" spring and shackle lift with 44" tires.... put a 3" body lift and put on 48" tires.Jun 02, 2014

I love this truck!!! Picked the truck up as a barn find, previous owner had it restored before I bought it, mechanics still needed some work, but body was CLEAN!!! Hard to find in WI!
Grew up with a 76 and 79 F150, 351W Engine. So not quite dads old truck but it's a great alternative! 460 V8 Power plant puts out plenty of torque and sounds very intimidating sitting at the intersection. Has a few personal touches like bed-liner and custom chrome rims. Getting windows tinted this spring, along with an Edelbrock 4bbl and performance headers.
Purrs like a lion, and has plenty of "gitty up and go" for a truck. Gets TONS of looks and thumbs up when driven. You don't see many of these on the road anymore.
Will NEVER sell her!Mar 01, 2014

Well its just needed minor thigns to keep it running like spark plugs etc. I think it performs good for what I use it for with its old l-6. It's very fun to drive, but i mainly just use it to go mudding or something similar.Sep 24, 2009

I will give you some stats on my Ford truck. It has a 1970 460 Lincoln V8 powering it. The engine has the original Dove heads but I added a Competition off-road extreme cam, double valve springs, 750 cfm Holley double pumper carb, accell plug wires and coil, 3" carb spacer, flowmaster 40 series dual exhaust, centerforce dual friction clutch, auto meter tach with shift light, 4 speed manual tranny, dana 44 with locker (front) dana 60 with locker (rear) NP205 transfer case and much body work and paint job. However, high gas prices have claimed the life of this beast although it chillaxes in my garage being cranked every once in a while to bring it back to life, lol.May 17, 2008

More than 30 years ago this truck was built and it still hasn't stopped yet and when that 460 is done being rebuilt and my headman headers go in and my MSD ignition goes on that truck will once again roar like it should Apr 07, 2008

Pretty much everything but the running gear is new. It will have a new rear end tis summer, I am going to completely change the suspension when I get the chance, I am going to build the motor when I get the money, and then rebuild everything that needs it.Mar 19, 2008
