You just had to have a smile on your face when you drove this. It was the 3.0 Ghia and the rarer manual version, that's why. Fantastic 3 litre engine which just burst into life when you hit the accelerator. No traction control in those days and the wheels could spin in second quite easily. Handling? Well, you just had a lot of twirling of the steering wheel and it was best to assume that the rear end would break away. Then you'd be OK. Great fun, a classic I wouldn't have missed for the world.Jan 06, 2012

My first car. Loved it. It had the big V6 instead of the small 4 banger and that little car sure made a lot of trips to the big city (a lot of which were during school hours). I guess you can call those field trips?Dec 17, 2009

Hopped up 302 in a small car, what could be better? It has the power to stay with most "street" cars in a straight line. It is, however nose heavy and with the power available on tap, getting it out of a fast corner is a bit tricky. It is the first car that I have had that all the standard suspension upgrades are not enough. Once the Suspension gets replaced with racing parts, then the brakes are going to need upgrading.Sep 20, 2008
