Genuine LX SLR 5000. 308 Auto factory a/c. hard to find one without a A9X body kit put on. rare and desirable car. the car is totally rust free. it has been stored for 17 years before we bought it. Feb 22, 2009

After the run with my Pulsar, I bought this for a hefty price tag. It was an LH Torana, 1975 model.
As you can see these are some of the most gorgeous cars ever made. And mine was no exception, bar the paint colour :(
Was a 253 V8 with a BBQ in the boot, which in terms meant it was very very cheap to run. Had an M21 4 speed too. Quite rare. Ran a Holley 600 carbie, had a twin 2.25 Inch exhaust which gave it a gorgeous note for a 4.2
Performance wise it had some go being manual but obviously it wasn't the fastest car on the streets. Still had alot of tork which meant it was real easy to drive.
Was a massive head turner, everywhere I went this thing got looks. Well as it would, I mean they aren't ugly cars. Had a few extras as well such as central locking, an alarm, LPG, Prostar mags, and heaps of spares haha.
One major drawback of Toranas in general was they had very week diffs, and mine was no exception. I went thru three diffs and broke an axle during the period I owned the car. Yeah, all those times it was doing something stupid like burnouts or toying it in the wet. Jun 27, 2008

In the 70's we didn't know anything about overall performance. This was my dream car at the time, and I owned it and loved it! As years go by you realise how ordinary these muscle cars are - totally inadequate brakes, awful handling. The only thing you could do was power out of corners sideways!Feb 25, 2008
