I love this car because my grandpa bought it new in 1974, it became mine after I graduated high school, it's cramped, underpowered and still only has 32,000 origional miles on it, its everything a VW was in the '70's but its all I'll ever inherit from any of my family so its the most important object in my life..Aug 31, 2008

VW only made 250,000 of these in ten years. They were only imported to the US for two years: 1973 & 1974. They have a 1600cc air cooled engine. They are a blast to drive!! And everywhere you go, people ask questions!Apr 10, 2008
