I have owned 6 FIAT 124's and have loved every one of them- they are mechanically solid, almost like an old American car, but more fun than the old US iron- hey, it's Italian! My 124 Sport Coupe has a DOHC Engine designed by Lampredi and a sleek body styled by Boano. A poor man's Ferrari! Other than the superior handling and style, other pluses are: the Fiat parts cost way less than a similar Alfa, Maserati, Ferrari, etc-. the 124 is simple to take apart and put together- all 124s share common parts, the Spiders, Coupes, Sedans and Wagons have the same suspensions and drive trains across the years of production and models- what a concept! one brake rotor for millions of different looking cars- the rotor still costs $15 new.Dec 15, 2013

I rebuild this car in 2002. So i can say that this car is handmade.
Acceleration is like adrenaline candy.
Cost of ownership is very cheap. Because a lot of spare parts are made in lada factory in Russia.
Best car for Saturday and Sunday.Aug 22, 2010

I wish it had a little less rust. But, considering it's 36 years old, it's an amazing little car! I'm hoping to put a lot of work into it soon. After a lot of research on the car, I bought my first 1974 Fiat 124 Spider back in 1995, all beat up for $800. And spent years fixing it up. I never had that "Fix It Again Tony" problem that the brand was (wrongly)known for. It always ran solid even when I had just bought it, and it had been neglected for years by its previous owner. I lost that first Fiat in a major accident back in 2004. So I went looking for the same exact car once again, found it online from a seller in Nevada and had it shipped to me. It is no "hobby car". It is my daily driver.Nov 04, 2009

Jan 26, 2009

This was a great car until I blow the head gaskety and could not afford to fix it. I still hold a Hillclimb Record in this car.Jan 09, 2008
