These cars are so cool they always get people attention on the road and. just about everybody know what kind it is. The stick shifting gets a little tricky when people pull up Really close to you on hill while stopping,.O. A great quote I heard was "a smart Germany never sits in a running bug". The bugs were notorious for carbon monoxide poisoning from rust heaters.Dec 12, 2013

performance its ok we have to remember its 1973 car so its just for fun, but
overhall its so good, the handling its amazing, brakes are good but not on the rain.

this car is slow, but its fun to drive, front disc brakes steel braided lines 2 inch drop 4 speed short throw 1641cc cool car to bounce around town. pics up soon of all the vws this super is a georgia car i put the motor in it Feb 10, 2011

Its a Beetle, whats not to like?
Oh, well no heat, horsepower, or any special features, but still fun to own.
Has new 1600cc engine.
Gets lots of attention while driving. Fun at car shows.

perfomance . mildly tuned by now
it has been repaierde c,mon its a 73 bug.
good looking interior and exterior.
pretty cheap in maintenance.
really fun to drive. nothing drives better thn a beetle in wet situations , never experienced over or understeer.Aug 22, 2010

My project car for the last 2 years,I have fitted a 1600 twin port (std) apart from a
sports exhaust system.with the valuable help of my son-in-law (Eric) we stripped
the whole car down,cut out some rust areas along with turning it into a convertible.
I have been a Vdub nut for over 40 years,I find them easy to work on and with
contacts in various vdub clubs,parts are never a problem.I will update when she
finally rolls out!May 21, 2010

its an all original car! was purchased new by my Aunt C, drove it 36 consecutive years, and now has retired it t me for a full restoration, its an auto stick! has very little rust, and i'm looking forward to fixing it up to originalNov 09, 2009

I drove one for 14 years; it started and ran well every day! What more could you ask? After that, when I saw one, I would always smile and wish I had never sold it. I recently bought another 1973 Super Beetle. Still always worth a smile. Jul 23, 2009

Complete chrome engine, all new interior, new paint job, ( you could put a Porsche 911 engine in it)
Has guts for a little 4 cylinder bow engine
Just a fun classic style ride
