Great car! Needs some TLC but it is a car I love driving. The smell of the original vinyl triggers memories that I forgot I had! If you love steel and power than this is the car for you! Gotta have it.Apr 22, 2015

This was built in a time when they used real metal to build cars. I wish we didn't have winter so I could drive it year round. It is a fun car to drive, not too bad on gas. It performs very well for a family sedanDec 04, 2011

This was the first car I owned. Bought it from a guy who let me drive it for the weekend to make up my mind while he went camping. It had an unstoppable 318 in it. I treated the car like crap, and it never failed me. Owned it for 4 years in Alaska. Changed the oil 4 times total. Never had a problem with the thing running at all. In fact, with the air shocks in the rear, I was able to take this vehicle places that 4-wheel drive trucks were getting stuck! I REALLY miss that car...Jan 27, 2010

4 wheel drum brakes were incredible...it took forever to stop, transmission was invincible. (shifted into reverse at 55mph...twice!). Got terrible gas mileage, like 13-18 depending upon how screwed up the carberator was.
front bench seat provided spectacular lateral support.
The aftermarket stereo was worth more than the car. :)Feb 03, 2009

This is 73 Swinger with a 360, bored 0.30 over, 1970 Mopar 340 "J" heads, shaved for high compression. Runs on 94 octane pump gas, but prefers VP Racing fuel or higher-than-pump-rated marina fuel. I've got a Holley 650 double pumper, which is extremely finicky! It's got a freshly built 904, 3spd auto with a quick-shift kit and 2500 stall torque converter. This setup puts out about 375HP and the car runs low-mid 13s 1/4 mile without slicks. It's got a 12-bolt posi rear which locks up nicely on takeoff! This car is great going in a straight line, but it's not much for braking or turning. Gas mileage is unmentionable.Jul 30, 2008

My "first" car, Dad said I needed something that I could fix. Well, this was it. Easy to work on, simple, and intuitive, this was an easy car to own. Used to belong to an older lady that died!Apr 28, 2008

Restored in late 90's with my father, my WRX is faster by far, but it's nice to lay down some rubber from time to time. Hurst 4-Speed, Blackjack headers, Weld wheels, 360 V-8, Mopar performance intake, Carter AFB Racing Carb, 3:18 rear, Sky- Jackers, Fully restored.Apr 19, 2008

I bought this car in January of 08. I paid $500 for it, it didn't really run, but I managed to get it home, and have been restoring it ever since. I have about $2,000 into it now, and it gets better every day. when purchased it was a forest green on forest green car wirth an avacado/green interior. I'm keeping the body all green, but all of the trim (vinal top, grill, bumblebee stripe, and scoops (exterior)) are black, or will be black. I have Scoops coming in the mail, for my next small project, but so far it has new Black/cactus green front seats, new black armrests, a new grill (painted black) I have fixed the front bumper vallance, and bumper itself from a wreck previous to my ownership. also I have put on new front shocks, and adjustable rear air shocks. new "Swinger" eblems on the front fenders, new windshield wiper/spray setup. the original 225 slant-6 is gone with a '77 slant-6 from a Valiant as a replacement. I've also done a little wiring, and changed out some burt out switches, and bulbs. most of the little stuff is done now, it still needs a new dashpad, headliner, back seat re-upholstry job, and new carpet wouldn't hurt. I would like to put in a 360 one of these days, and beef it up a little, buit that's later.Apr 15, 2008

This was my first brand new car, at the beginning was drove in the streets, later was converted in a full time week-end drag racing vehicle. Ended with a .060 in. over sized bored engine, full roller cam and rockers, 5.57 ration rear end, 5,000 rpm stall converter, full manual shifted auto-trans and trick paint. Dec 26, 2007
