Bought this from a buddy who worked at the Marina with me. It never gave me trouble, handled great, I even towed my race car with it. I drove it into the ground and sold it for parts. No regrets. GM cars from the 70's were made out of rust right from the factory. Mar 20, 2012

1973 Gold Monte Carlo with white landau roof 53K miles
exterior paint fairly good hasn't been driven for five years. One
owner vehicle. Nice car with unlimited possibilities. Would make
some lucky Mont Carlo collector or aficianado one fabulous

The body is stand alone one of a kind I don't care what anyone says. I have had mine for 2 1/2 year never a single prob. Mine has the 5.7 350 v8 in it. I installed a 650 Edelbrock carb in replace of the stock 2bbl. I only have one thing I wish was fixed I hate limited slip differential!!!!!! There should be a law against Cars or Trucks having them. Positraction All the Way!!!Jan 08, 2010

I've owned this car for about two years and have had only one major problem, aside from that it has been a fairly hassle free daily driver.Jun 17, 2008

You'd be hard pressed to find another classic car these days with such versatility. It rides like a dream, handles curves well for its vintage, and has ample power in any trim. Most notably, it is undoubtedly anything but subtle with gi-normously beautiful voluptuous curves. I would also have to say that it is the coolest car I have ever had the joy to own and drive and can't imagine ever getting rid of it.
On the mechanical/technical side of things.... It's a fairly simple enough auto that anyone with basic mechanical skills can maintain. The downside to these cars is basically that by these years the corporate 'corner cutting' and cheapening of materials is most evident in the interior trim. And thanks to Ralph Nader, this model year Monte had mandatory front bumper shock absorbers. Rear shock absorbers were not utilized on Montes until 1974 thus leaving the profile of the 73 a true standalone.Mar 07, 2007
