Can't complain, have had the car for over 43 year. One off-body restoration in 1992. Still running fine, only put an average of 13 miles a month on it to keep it running. Has many Olds 442 parts added including 4-on-the-floorJan 05, 2015

It only gives you 9 to 12 mpg , you get very hard talk from ecofrendly guys every day, its hard to drive there no ABS brakes, electronic control or air bag, you really need to put attencion on the vehicle to handle it, when you get wide open trotle its scary you can feel the car chassis twist and soo your guts! That 400 pontiac engine was a fine machine it really haves it racing heritage from the 60s catalina389c.i. (in a small way) , i alway had pontiacs that had gm corp 350 from the 80s a.d 90s and i thougth they had power..... i was dead wrong, Dec 06, 2013

I bought a '72 LeMans when I was 16, lost it when I went in the Army and 25 years later I found another one like it. Only, my latest has buckets, a/c, and a 400/400T instead of a 350/350T. It drives so smooth, handles like a dream, and has plenty of torque. I drove it from Nebraska to Missouri (600mi) and got 15.7 mpg.Feb 14, 2011

I owned a new 1972 Pontiac LeMans with a 455HO engine. It was red with honeycomb mags and tan bucked seats. It had great power and looks, but I had it back to the dealer numerous times with engine problems.Sep 13, 2010

It is awesome it will get right up and go if you can grab traction and keep the front wheels on the ground. it was completely redone when my dad got the car and we put the engine in it.

My first car was a 1972 Luxury LeMans I bought it from a gentleman who had just taken off of display in a vintage car museum. He sold it to me when I was 15 for the sum of $5500 dollars. Whether or not it was actually worth that much is a moot point. It was perfect, and every bit original. From the paint to the vinyl top to the sofa sized bench seats, the damn thing looked brand new. Being a testosterone driven adolescent male, I drove the car a bit two fast down a gravel road and crunched up the gorgeous chrome bumper on the front side. I cried. Anyway, now that the car was no longer pristine i could give it my own little flair. I lowered it an inch to bring more attention to it's ridiculous wheel covers, then i added a set of Hooker header's and a couple glasspacks. Then I built a custom, removable sound system to further bother those around me. (people in my town are very prim and proper, my car was more or less a chance to retaliate) The car still takes me back to a time when I didn't actually exist. If you sit in it you will get the same feeling.Dec 19, 2007
